personality »

positive:

She's very mature, ofc. She's one of the eldest member, and she somehow felt responsible for her members. She knows she's not the leader, because they have no leader, but sometimes she's the one who helped the other members on focusing. she brings them together and sometimes gives them a good speech on why they should practice and takes everything seriously which made her wise. Usually the members joke around during practice, yes, she also laughed, she also needs a little fun but then she would continue with "Guys, enough, we need to practice." but in a chill tone so the members wouldn't feel burdened. Let's say she's the true definition of tsundere and to her that's actually a good thing, being an introvert, and open up to the person she trust only, because at some point, not all people is trustable and it would actually become a weakness if someone knows a lot of her secrets. But when she trust someone such as her teamates, she would tell everything to them, fun things, funny things and a lot of her experience. She's also loyal and humble. she was not the one who would stand out in front and be the loud one on stage, she wants the whole team to shine, she always refuses when people calls her pretty because there's a more prettier member besides her. and she respets the sunbaenims, like Wonder Girls and 2AM. She's also very loyal, she once got an offer to switch company and debut first, but she refused because she's already comfortable with the members. She also refused to be debuted as a solo.

 

negative:

Very stiff. She's a tsundere, and when people see her at first, they would see her as an unpleasant person. Even in the training, she's very stiff and is very hard to approach. like only answering questions with one word answer and doesn't talk much. But it's not because she's anti social, it's because she's quiet hard to adapt to a new environment. She nags a lot. when she's close to someone, she nags a lot to them talking about the bad things that happened to her today, just as a relief. She's also a labile person when it gets to choices like food, clothes, and songs. She knew she likes wearing a simple outfit, but picking them will take her a quiet while. picking A or B and will end up with A. and it took her a week to finish her composing song, because she would go from one note to the other again and again. the thing is that she doesn't let anyone helps her, a very closed person she wanted her creations be pure from her, then she'll let the profesionals do the arrangement, but for composing and writting lyrics, she wanted it to be from her. Sometimes when the member checked on her she was on one lyric, but when they came back and checked on her again, she changed the whole lyrics. It still ended up great though.

background » Chaewon isn't the girl who you thought she was before being an idol. Her composing talent made people think that she was already a musician before her debut, but no. she was just a normal girl that has no interest in being an idol. She's actually interested in acting. But still, that was her last choice on her life goals. Let's say she was born in a not so normal family. She has a small family, in Mokpo. It's small, but it's good. like what stitch says. Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. But heck life wasn't so easy for her, she didn't know who her father is and where did he go and why he never came back. but let's put this aside. Chaewon prefers that her family secrets stays a secret. although her sister made it hard for her to keep the ohana together. her sister is 10 years younger than her. Which made Chaewon hard to connect with her because of the . Still, she may have a big responsibility towards her sister and she needs to keep that.

 

How happy she was when she get to spend middleschool and highschool in Seoul and live with her aunt. But living there kind of changed her life. during her schooldays, She was casted on the street by an entertainment that she doesn't even know... to be an idol. She told the man that she's not interested in being an idol. But they kept calling her and even made her scared that it was a trick. Her aunt helped her to convince herself that it was worth a shot. So, she came to JYP Ent and auditioned to be an actor. JYP did the same thing to her as what he did to Sohee. He put her in the idol industries to help her be an actress. It would be easier when people already liked her as an idol. Plus JYP said CHaewon has an idol aura and he was sure 90% that she would love being an idol more than acting. He guessed it right.

 

After practicing everyday, learning dancing, singing, rapping, she turned out to love that and.... she actually became pretty good. even better. Like it was a hidden talent that was in her blood. So yeah, she decided to debut in an idol group and also composed some music as well. Yeah she may have some hard times during practice, like some other trainees that annoyed her and made her unfocused, but she always tried to stay calm and continue her training. She kept supporting herself like "Come on Chae, you can do this."

 

It was quiet hard for her at first because she was stiff and couldn't interract well with the other trainees, She often jus stayed quiet and practice by herself until someone approached her.That made her had some stress, she almost gave up by her 2nd year of training until JYP announced that she would be debuting with 3 other members. It changed her and she became more spirited again as she became cloe t her teammates and continued practicing with no doubts.

family »
-Mom / Joo Ahreum / very close to her. Chaewon always calls her mother every week just to tell her how she was doing and telling her that everything is fine. She also changed her name from Kim Chaewon to Joo Chaewon back when she was little. She doesn't want her father's name on herself.

-Sister / Joo Hyeyeon / 10 years younger than Chaewon, not so close. she disturbs chaewon a lot which made Chaewo annoyed and doesn't have a good relationship with her.

-Aunt / Joo Jungeun / Quite close to her and helped her a lot during her hardtimes without her mother

-ARIES members- Chaewon's very close to 'the goddess' because they're the unnie line and they share a lot of stories with her, she's like a best friend. Chaewon always smiles near Sooyoung because she's fun and sporty, Chaewon also very adores her athletic talent, and she wanted her to shine. plus she also loves the magnae because she things the youngest is very precious.
-Baek Ayeon - a 93liner friend whom she's quiet close to in JYP. she sometimse compose together with Ayeon.
