appearance: yoomi has a flat nose and big front teeth that with her cheeks sort of make her look like a chipmunk ever since she was small. background: Yoomi was born in Seoul but moved to lost angeles when she was six years old due to her fathers job. Her older sister was three years older than her and looked much more like her mother who used to be a model. Her sister was good at everything and constantly seemed to be better than Yoomi. Even though they both took piano lessons Yoomi got less praise from the teacher and her lost confidence in herself as time went on. When she was eight she met Amber Liu who was an upperclassman in her music lessons. Amber took Yoomi under her wing because both of them were not confident in the way they looked but they found strength in each other and encouraged each other. Yoomi's family moved back to Seoul in 2008 and Amber followed closely behind after she was accpected as an SM trainee. Yoomi became her family member since the rest of her family was in the usa. Yoomi started to become more insecure due to her suddnen growth in height compared to her sister who was 165 and looked so much cuter and feminine. Her sister atteneded the same highschool as her in korea and Yoomi became known as Haru's sister and people only noticed her to ask about her sister.
Yoomi become good friends with F(x) and shinee so she visited Amber so much but Amber became busy with activites so the two couldn't hang out often. Throughout most of high school Yoomi was very depressed. In 2012 when she finished high school she worked part time as in intern manager in SM since she had so much experience following Amber around. She was helping Amber work on the song Goodbye summer when Jamie who was visiting SHinee walked by, heard her sing part of the song and asked her to join label V as a trainee. She turned him down quickly because she knew that she wasn't good enough to be an idol.

Jamie kept pestering her for almost a year. Yoomi started to hide everytime he was near. Finally Amber talked Yoomi into trying out and before Yoomi knew it she was debuting in a girl group.

Her insecurities came back 2 times as hard when her group was not doing well. So when Haemi sugested that the group promoted as a male group she was very against it because "what if I mess up?" but she also liked the idea because it meant she could reinvent herself. She wouldn't have to be Haru's sister anymore, she could be as confident as Mijung.

who did you leave behind?: Well...I left behind my family members. My mother, father as well as my older sister Haru. I left behind almost all of my friends. Onew oppa, Vic unnie, Luna unnie, Krystal and the rest of shinee. I tried to leave everyone behind but the only one I couldn't leave behind was Amber.

which staff are you most comfortable with?: Jamie for sure. He's the one who introduced me to the label and he's the one I talk to about my song lyrics. The second would be manager song because we both are very intense about things working well so she makes me feel more secure about our plan.
