nickname(s) » Mini (called by her dad a lot. Its his way of saying that she is a mini him.)
Flower of the Sea (She's picked up this nickname from the people of Busan. They don't say it to her directly but its what they call her when they talk about her and tell stories about her. It originated from her name which means beautiful flower and the fact thats shes at sea most of the time.)

appearance » She stands at 170cm and weighs about 56kg. She looks skinnier than she is because of her height but actually she has a toned body with some nice muscle defintion. She got her height from her dad and her hair color from too many days at sea. (not really) Her hair was turning lighter from all the salt water and wind so she decided to just bleach it. She's not as white as some of the other delegates but she had the pirates tell her enough for her to keep her skin as light as she can.

style » She mostly wears her pirate outfit because its the most comfortable and the most useful on the ship. When she's with the other delegates she mostly dresses in blue hanboks when in formal setting. She has a bunch of blue dresses from other countries that she has collected on her travels (and her father continually sends her foreign dresses) and she wears the western styled ones when she wants to impress and she wears the chinese hanfu since its less wide and is easier to move around in.
She feels more comfortable in pants but she knows that its not very likely they will let her wear one so she has a light hanfu that she wears when shes alone (fourth pic).

personality »
Hardworking+ Hwayoung has worked on the ship most of her life so she is not one to slack off. She works hard at whatever she does be it climbing a beam or sewing cloths. She gives everything she is faced with 110% even if she isn't good at it because "You can't be picky in choosing what you are good at." She is always looking for new skills to learn and master since she is an incredibly fast learner. It took her a week and about five blisters to learn to tie every single knot to tie on a ship. She doesn't mind what she has to give up in order to improve.

Compassionate+ The reason that everyone likes Hwayoung isn't completely based on how she's a pirate or her dad is Yonghwa, they like Hwayoung because whenever she sees someone in trouble she always does her best to help them. What she learnt from her father was that even though they were pirates, they still were people and people had to help other people in need. She has helped people fix their houses, she brings back sweets for the orphans,and she takes care of people that fall sick on the ship.

Loyal+ Hwayoung never betrays someone that she has formed a bond with and is always looking out for others more than she is looking out for herself. She never spreads rumors about people that she considers her friends and will defend them if anyone else is talking bad about them. Her opinion of people she trust cannot be swayed by others and it is only if she sees first hand that her friend is being bad that she will think differenly about them.

Observant+ She notices the small details such as a slight movement of the eyebrows when someone is lying or the shaking of fingers when someone is nervous. She usually tends to be the first one to know if someone is not feeling well or if there is something wrong. It is also due to how observant she is that she tends to be meticulous with detail. If the color of something is slightly off she can tell and it will bother her for  a while.

Scary when Angry- No one on the ship dares to make Hwayoung angry because when when she is angry, she is very angry. Hwayoung doesn't get angry a lot but when stretched enough she basically explodes, she doesn't shout or scream but her voice becomes dangerously low and she has a glare that can kill. Every word she says when she is angry is meant to hurt and sting and break someone down. Even people with quick tempers are quiet when she is angry because they become scared of her. When she is angry she doesn't care about rank, age or gender she will give that person a piece of her mind. A sure way to get her angry is if you hurt her friends and family or if you pick on someone that can't defend themselve. (She once get really angry at her father because he had done something dangerous and he still gets sort of freaked out when her voice gets low.

Secretive-  not about things but her feelings. She will never tell someone if she is sick or hurt because she doesn't want to be a burden. She hates it when others worry about her or when she slows others down. When something is bothering her she won't tell anyone and will instead find a high place to be alone and think things out for herself. She has a good enough poker face that only those close to her will know when something is bothering her. This often makes it seem like she is fine with things when it actually makes her upset or sad.

Overly Active- Hwayoung has trouble sitting still for long periods of time without moving. If she sits for too long she'll start to shake her legs or tap her feet. To combat this she keeps rope with her to tie in to knots when she's sitting so that she has something to do. Other people can tell her off but she can't really control it since she is used to constantly moving around. When she walks sometimes she tends to jump off ledges instead of just walking in a lady like manner. She also naturally walks faster than most girls so some people might think that she doesn't like walking in a group but in reality she just walks fast.

hobbies:— cooking (she has the skills of cooking at sea so even if she has very few ingredients she can make something very yummy. She can cook almost any type of fish and make it taste great.)
Climbing (she has a habit of climbing to high places be it trees or even rooftops. She is steady hands and feet and has complete trust in her climbing ability. High places relaxes her and sometimes she might even fall asleep on the roof.

family » Jung Yonghwa | 39 | Captain of The FNC Pirate Ship | resourceful, charming, passionate | She looks up to her father a lot because even though he is a pirate he still is very well liked and knows how to take care of others. He had to take care of her as a father as a mother and she knows that something like that isn't easy. She has learnt everything from  him and does her best to help him out. She knows that her father rarely pays enough attention to himself and doesn't remember to eat so she forces him to eat on time and to sleep more.

Park Shinhye | dead | Lady | caring, adventurous, sweet | She doesn't know her mother that well due to how she died from a disease when Hwayoung was 2. She hears stories from the others about her mother and how her mother gave up everything to be with her father. 

Lee Jonghyun | 39 | Lieutenant of The FNC Pirate Ship | touchy-feely, responsible, confident | The person that took the place of a mother in her life. He tries a lot to make her more ladylike and teaches her about girly stuff that he learns from his two sisters. Of everyone else on the ship (besides her father) she is closest to Jonghyun.

She considers all the crew of the FNC pirate ship to be like family to her. (The crew is made up of cnblue, ftisland and N.flying)

Park Hyomin | 26 | owner of resteraunt in Busan | creative, daring, quirky | She's a bit of an airhead but she is also Hwayoung's childhood friend. The two are as close as sisters since Yonghwa has taken Hwayoung to that family resteraunt since Hyomin's parents were running it. Hyomin is the girlier of the two who always gives Hwayoung make up and teaches her how to be fashionable. Hwayoung teaches Hyomin how to protect herself.
