Why do people do this? [Translating stories without permission]

Hi everyone!
Thanks to a lovely subbie, it has come to my attention that there is a user on Wattpad who has taken my story "Neurosis" and translated it into Spanish without my permission. 

If you happen to be reading Neurosis on Wattpad, please note that I did NOT allow the user to take my story into their hands! 

I saw Neurosis posted under the user -theexostyle while the subbie who told me about this sent a link and said that Neurosis was posted under a user named Chimnea- Turns out, they are both the same person! Good lord...

I have already messaged the user so hopefully, things get resolved! 

The user also has a bunch of other translated stories on Wattpad and I don't know if they are actually hers, if you see a story you recognize, please notify the original author! 

I get so disappointed when I see people do this, the fact that she didn't even bother asking me boggles my mind!

 

Many know that I have stopped allowing translations of my stories a long time ago; if you see any of my stories that are being translated, please let me know! And thank you!

​OH MY GOSHHH!

​Someone literally took my story "The Crimson War" and plagarized it, she didn't even change up the story- it's the same exact words with different names and she's totally getting credit for it!! WTF?

Oh my! Shameless people! I'm sorry it happened to you. Depending on the gravity of what happened, I can't blame if more and more writers get discouraged by this kind of shameless act. It's just unfair for them, that their efforts are being disregarded and disrespected. At least you got the Tapas Media copyright so you got their backing if you take legal actions.

I feel sorry for you that you have to find it out afterwards. It takes out your effort and time for no reason.

One time I opened a fic- and I love to press on the words to know where I arrived at reading but then it didn't highlight the text and I assumed it's a setting you apply it to refrain any one from steeling your work... Try it out and ask about it.

Ugh, why do people do this? It's basically stealing someone else'S hard work. How shameless of them.

I hope that people will know and understand that translanting without permission and credits from the rightful owner is almost the same as plagairism. Hope things will resolved soon. Stay strong author shi.
