ELABORATION: 

the girl from the countryside. people who meet yoojin for the first time might come to wonder whether she has spent most of her life inside a well and she just happened to climb out of it rather recently. she's not dumb, though it might look like just a wee bit, she simply isn't accustomed to life in the big city. she found herself in a completely different setting in comparison with what she had been used to and she doesn't know about lots of things, 'cause there was never the chance to learn about them before her family's decision to move in a new house, in the capital of south korea. e.g. she would probably go "wow" for lots of technologic things, as the rural town she lived in was mainly fueled by crops and ceramics. this side of her might probably become quite insufferable on the long distance, but she means no harm and she just need some patience from whoever decides to befriend her. 

stuck in dreamland with no escape plan. yoojin loves to daydream, though this would probably be not the right way to describe her way of being. she doesn't simply aknowledge that she's just more gullible and naÏve than normality. she firmly believes in happy ever after and prince charmings finding glass shoes over stairs and scanning the earth's surface to find their right owner. she's not just a dreamer, that's all. she is thoroughly convinced that relationships are just happiness and love and zero problems of all sorts and unicorns flying in the sky on rainbow routes etc. this side of her personality, however, brings many downsides with it. reality is clearly not a fairytale but just fair, with its ups and downs, highs and lows, and when this realization crushes against yoojin's romanticized vision of everyday life problems arise. she gets really disheartened when reality doesn't match her expectations. she isn't immature, she just only spent most of her life with her nose stuck in books about love and romance. she'll have to learn the hard way that not everything is all rainbows and cupcakes. 

a bit of a crybaby. yoojin feels emotions from within, she's naturally bubbly and lively and finds herself smiling for even the tiniest things that happen during her day. she's was brought up with a positive set of mind and that's probably not gonna leave her way of dealing with obstacles on her path. however, she gets easily overwhelmed by her own feelings as she happens to cry in any possible situation, be it for anger ( it doesn't happena a lot ), anxiousness, happiness, compassion, sadness. this is also one of the reasons why she tends to cling to people, she simply feels the bond even when she has only met the person two days before, if you talk to her she'll definitely look up at you with sparkly eyes and follow your every move, with words of encouragement too, just like a fangirl would do. the most problematic side of hers is that her innocence may put other people in the position of taking advantage of her just because she doesn't even comprehend that people would act mean in the first place. 

there's room for improvement .. hopefully. when people get asked about yoojin usually good grades and great mind is not what comes to their mind instantly. tests are just a really bad chapter of her schoollife. she has got the motivation and the determination to understand what's going on with everything that's on a school book but she clearly can't happen to fix anything in her brain in anyway. she's also not that perceptive too, you might wanna talk to her crystal clearly because innuendos and allusions would probably pass undetected. 
 

BACKGROUND: 

first steps. yoojin was born during a strangely hot day in april in icheon, a town of less than 3'000 inhabitants in gyeonggi do, at an approximate distance of 70 km from seoul. what comes to mind when most of koreans get asked about icheon, at least those who know about it, is ceramics. there's probably no other city in the whole korean country that might win over icheon's production of pottery of all types. of course, lately also the small town has had its share of innovations but of course that's nothing compared to the high tech life in the capital. her house was always overcrowded to begin with, since she always lived with her parents, an older brother, her grandmother and a white fluffy maltese, deaf from one ear, called pocchi. there's never been great choice in the small rural icheon, so her father works in the export of ceramics all around the country, taking up his own father's job. she was always an active child to begin with, with such a dynamism that she spent most of her childhood days getting scolded by her mom for her reckless actions. she was a tiny daredevil and her brother too, resulting in their parents' headaches. 

gym days & school years. finally her mom found how to channel her daughter's liveliness by enrolling her in the only gymnasium of the city and that solved most of the problems at home since yoojin started coming back everyday more and more dead tired. her school years passed unregistered, she was never at the top of the class, sometimes she ended up in the lowest ranks but she always faced everything with a bright smile. it was later that her father finally got a job offer which brought him away from home for most of the time. it wasn't a great period, she's really affectionate and loves her family and she felt the distance. however, it wasn't a lot until her dad started earning enough money to move the whole household in south korea's capital, in a lovely semi-detached house, in which both the family and the grandma found a new beginning. 

after the big change. her brother, 5 years older and therefore already in university, moved back with his family, since he had been studying in the capital for quite a while, majoring in economics. she enrolled in a new school and had a hard time fitting in. teenagers from a bic city like seoul would be completely another deal in comparison with simpletons of the countryside. that's the main reason why, after slowly comprehending that she wasn't getting any friends that way she decided to join a sports club: the cheerleading one. despite her clumsy appearance, she actually is quite flexible due to all of those years spent at the gymnasium. when she got in she was still not aware of what had happened to the declining cheerleading team, but when she found out that really didn't change anything about her decision to be part of it. her main reason is cause she wants to have fun and meet new people. 

LIFESTYLE: 

yoojin's a busy gal. she wakes up early, brings her dog boyfriend out for a walk, then comes back and prepares herself to go to school. sometimes if she feels like to she's the one to serve breakfast for everyone but usually her nanna beats her up to that though she's more than happy to help her. when she's not at school, nor studying ( which .. barely happens anyway unless there's a deadline approacching ), she always finds something to do. on this matter she's really similar to her brother. usually, when she was in icheon she was accustomed to walks around the cropfields or bike trips around the town. now that she's in seoul she just controls her phone for any event that might interest her ( marathons are her favourite, but also concerts and cinemas never fail to amuse her ). she doesn't care if she has no company, she usually finds it easy to befriend whoever's sitting or standing next to her in a radius of five metres. she loves parks and she makes sure to visit them at least once a week. 

school time ✩ even though she wakes up early she always manages to be late for lessons, why? because she gets distracted by the silliest things. an ahjumma is selling kimbab on the streets? she might as weel stop to ask her how's her day and then proceed in making herself susceptible to said ahjumma's guilt-tripping skills, ending up in buying a batch of kimbab. she gets reprimanded a lot by the teacher because she never seems to follow and when lunch break starts she prefers to climb the stairs till the rooftop and eat there. she just loves to watch clouds go by and discover the strangest objects with the same shape. 

TRIVIA:

✩ she's got natural aegyo so it's normal for her to use it on a daily basis, 'cause it comes as spontaneous. e.g. she loves making weird faces too ( that look cute anyway 'cause she was blessed with the right face ), especially out of boredom. + +
✩ she has this weird habit of calling animals with honorifics and names of all sorts, and she also thinks she has this super power which lets her communicate with them, so be prepared for lots of weird sentences like "madam bee said she'd been buzzzzzzzing close to you because you smell like flowers! you shouldn't be flapping your hand that way, you might hurt her. she's got her beelings to go back too."
✩ oh yes, she isn't scared of insects. actually she finds them cute.
✩ she loves eating meat, but don't remind her that that pork belly she's been enjoying thoroughly was a piglet some time before, unless you want her weeping and in distress while still munching on what's on her plate ( 'cause throwing food is never a good thing ).
✩ when you meet her out and about you always find her sipping on some sugary drink, she loves sugary stuff and her brother always complains that she burns all of her allowance in the attempt to help every starbucks's finances. 
✩ she loves wandering around with no sure destination, she likes open air and has never disliked her hometown for being mostly rural. she likes that kind of environment, that's why she was a bit flabbergasted when, upon arriving in seoul, she found out that there were little to none green areas in the city. not that she complains, she just loves everything. 
✩ her favourite idol group is nrg, her favourite song from them "hit song".
✩ since her arrival in seoul she's been developing a real obsession for idol girl groups, she knew about them already of course, it's not like she lived on another planet, but in seoul the amount of ads and cardboard cutouts of them is overwhelming. plus lately she's been engrossed in watching tv shows that star girl groups. 
✩ pocchi is her boyfriend, but really pocchi is her dog. 
✩ she has this habit of kind of staring into empty space. she just has these off moments when her mind seems to disconnect and she falls in this kind of trance. 
✩ when she gets up from chairs and sofas and bed and any kind of comfortable surface actually which she enjoys sitting or laying on she emits halmoni noises, as if she's been dealing with lots of body pains. 

✩ grandma - 배미옥 (78) / yoojin's personal chef / strong willed, dauntless, kind, gentle / two peas in a pod

even though her mother is also an housewife, yoojin was mostly brought up by her grandmother who's always been living with the family since her husband's death which happened even before yoojin's birth. she's her dad's mom and she always loved following the little girl around or  walking around the cropfields with her, telling her stories about her youth. she never fails to amaze everyone with her stories about her own past, and is and extraordinary chef. her kimchi is to die for. miok is like a bestfriend to her granddaughter, yoojin talks with her about everything and they share lots of secrets they only know ( esp. when a cute guy is involved ). yoojin asks her for counsel and she also gets in exchange some heads up on her way of approaching things: her grandma believes she might need to open her eyes and be careful while being in a way bigger city, but she still doesn't want her to change herself because of that. "keep on dreaming, child" she reminds her every once in a while.

✩ mama & papa - 신서현 & 최영훈 (56 - 61) / housewife & entrepreneur / quiet, shy, loving, devoted & hardworking, strict, quiet, always composed / blood relative - kind of closeness

both not that talkative, people might wonder how did the two of them end up together. well, there was a time, though their offspring finds it hard to believe it, when their father wasn't that stern and composed as he is know. he made a huge deal to get the beautiful and shy seohyeon to accept to go on a date with him and from that moment on they never really separated. while seohyeon is really understanding and her reprimanding sounds more as a worried suggestion instead of an angry remark, yeonghun is the kind of father you must always tell "another version of the real story" if you don't wanna get in serious trouble. he hardly speaks up but when he does there's no teenager who would keep on doing what he has been doing without flinching. he's never home though, because of his job and extra hours he takes to manage his co workers activities etc .. he's really hard working, a real stakanovist who believes in the importance of devotion and dedication to one's goal.

✩ big bruh - 최유석 (23) / uni student, majoring in economics / living hurricane, not humble at all, outgoing, bro to everyone actually, he might befriend even a rock, a pain in the buttocks ( this is yoojin's perception ) / tom & gerry - close

he's the friend of the world, boasts 5000+ friends on myspace and his phone is continuously beeping because of the tons of text messages that reach it every second. he's never home, always out and about doing this and that, mind always stuck in another dimension, so much that it was quite surprising when he confessed he had passed the entrance exam for economics in seoul. they love to quarrell and fight over the dumbest things ( e.g. who gets to chose what channel to watch on tv at night ) but that's their way of expressing love for each other. but don't tell them they love each other unless you wanna hear a chorus of "ewww"s and "bleaaaah"s.

COMMENTS: hope you like her! honestly it's my first time writing about a character with that kind of personality, i usually go for more mature images or characters with a bit of an emotional turmoil going on but i've been wanting to use eunha as a face claim for soooo long and i think this personality suits her the best. also i'm really sorry for my english, i'm aware that there might be some mistakes here and there, unfortunately english is not my first language so i hope you'll be indulgent on that matter. oh, and the storyline so far looks great, i think this is a rather fresh concept for an applyfic, it's awesome to finally see something new!! xoxo

✩ some drama surely. yoojin might seem really obnoxious at first, so she probably wouldn't be easily accepted inside the group. 
✩ and youngjae might want to cheer up but he doesn't know why 'cause he's actually an incompetent when it comes to girls and relationships and feelings. 
✩ some kind of situation where she gets herself in some kind of trouble ( maybe a club at night? your choice ) and he finds out through friends in common so he runs to the rescue. only to save her and then get angry at her for being irresponsible > she obv. starts crying because "he's mad at me, now he won't talk to me anymore and will ignore me at school and we'll grow apart and i might die already, there's no use in my existence blah blah" and he gets even more pissed because he's incompetent even in comforting her. 
✩ some bonding time with the girls? some kind of school trip maybe.
