PERSONALITY :　

▸kind hearted — (having a kind and sympathetic nature) soeun is a really always thinking of others before herself. in every situation, she always tries to think of other people's perspectives and not just her own. she doesn't like it when people are left out ,so she always tries to involve everyone during good times. also, she rather give than receive. i.e. if she buys food or a drink, she will buy some for the members too. during shows, if it's cold she makes sure that the staff are warm and aren't hungry or thirsty. she always incourages the members, giving them confidence and supporting them. she worries about the fans a lot. if a member if sick or injured she takes care of them.

▸modest — (having or showing a modest or low estimate of one's own importance) soeun never forgets who she was before she became an idol. this is mainly because her parents always remind her to always stay humble, but soeun really follows their words. soeun believes that there are many things she still needs to learn, and that there's always room for improvement.

▸ demure — (reserved, innocent, and shy.) soeun definately has an innocent aura. one glance at her and you can tell that she is a shy and pure girl. the way she talks is polite and soft, and the way she smiles is genuine and kind. ever since soeun was a little girl she was always shy, especially around new faces. she was never the one who likes being the center of attention and preferred to be in the shadows. she has imporoved on that, though, but there is still some shyness in her.

▸good natured — (kind, friendly, and understanding.) soeun is really kind, and was voted the most among the members on who'd they want to date if they were a boy mainly because of the fact that she is sweet and understanding. during an arguement, she will look at the story from the other person's perspective and try to understand why they did what they did. and despite soeun being shy, once you get to know her, she is a really friendly and fun person to be with. being around the members all the time really helped her break out of her shell and have no shame on being weird.

▸quirky — (characterized by peculiar or unexpected traits.) being the shy and innocent girl she is, you would never expect soeun to be so weird sometimes. it's kind of like how jungkook was supposed to be 'the only normal member in bts', but turned out to be a total dorky meme. soeun can be such a hyper and bright person when she shows what she really is like. there are times when she gets so childish and bouncy, it's like she's on a sugar rush, but really that's just her real personality. i guess that's why her and taehyung get along so well. (like, here's her hugging a plant LOL)

▸sensitive — (having or displaying a quick and delicate appreciation of others' feelings.) one thing soeun hates about herself is that she is really sensitive. she can handle the hate comments online, but if someone yells at her face she will break down into tears. one thing she is especially sensitive is when she is watching movies. the movie can be a comedy, but she can still cry because of the happy ending. seeing someone so happy about something can bring soeun into tears.

▸passive — (accepting or allowing what happens or what others do, without active response or resistance.) soeun just goes with the flow. she's very obedient, so if someone tells her to do something, she will do it. to her, what ever happens, happens and she will just go along with it.

▸naive — (showing a lack of experience, wisdom, or judgment.) she is too innocent for the world, for goodness sakes. she's really clueless when it comes to inappropriate things, but she is slowly learning things from her unnies.

▸timid — (showing a lack of courage or confidence; easily frightened.) being shy has to do with this. the reason why she's shy all the time is because she lacks confidence. she really works hard in order to do well and improve on her skills. training to be an idol, however, really taught her to come out of her shell and gain confidence. she's a bit of an introvert, she can't approach people easily and she's not really open to people when it comes to her problems

hello, nice to meet you - Soeun loves a good laugh. If you're funny and can entertain someone for 24 hours straight, you're the kind of person Soeun would want to befriend thus being best friends with taehyung). Soeun herself is quite a jokester as well, and also a bit witty at times. You could say Soeun is quite 'unique'. She was her own way of thinking and tends to think out of the box. She's a cheerful and childish person, and you could say she's a 'ray of sunshine', always seen with a smile on her face.  Soeun is really kind hearted and tends to think of others before herself, always making sure others are okay before knowing if she's okay or not. She's really sweet and caring. She's a down to earth person who is good at getting along with others.

people aren't always what they seem to be - Even if she is always seen with a smile on her face, the person she is in the inside isn't as strong as people think she is. She does have those moments when she wants to just break down and cry. But the thing is, she doesn't like to let other people know about her problems, and tends to bottle up all her emotions inside until it gets too full and, just randomly, it explodes. The truth is, Soeun is very insecure about herself. She always seems to think someone is better than her, or prettier than her. And the thing is, when she receives hate from antis, it affects her the most, even if it doesn't seem like it. When Soeun gets sad, she gets sad. She the one always with a smile on her face, so if you don't see one, you know she's feeling sad. Also, she tends to push people away when they want to help her when she's having a hard time.

with the fans - Soeun loves her fans. A lot. She doesn't care if she has 1, 10, or even thousands. Even if she has 1, she'd be happy because she knows that someone out there is supporting her. She's thankful for each and every one of them. she tries to stop and say hi to everyone at airports and she likes to interact with fans during fanmeets and concerts.

on camera - in the beginning, her idol personality is super shy. she's super camera shy so in front of one she doesn't talk as much as she would and it takes her a while to loosen up, which causes people to think she was an 'ice princess'. throughout her career, she began to loosen up and learned how to be herself in front of a camera, so whatever you see on camera is her real personality.

BACKGROUND :

Growing up in the streets of london, soeun lived a simple life. she went to school( she was a decent students, wasn't super smart but wasn't dumb either), and liked to spend time with her family.  Growing up she was an obedient and shy child, always obeying her parents rules and such. You could say she was one of those goody two shoes who never wanted to get in trouble even though there were plenty of times she did). She was also one of those kids who loved and charished their parents a lot. Soeun was always close with her brother. Well, at first when they were both little and immature, they would fight A LOT. But it was just those stupid fights where the younger sister wants to play with the older brother, but he thinks she's annoying so she goes running into her room sobbing that her brother doesn't like her. But, as the two grew older and they both matured a bit, they became really close. Being only 4 years apart, the two had some similarities and could relate with each other. They became unseperatable and they love each other dearly, being the people they can trust the most and talk about anything and evrything with each other.

Soeun started dancing  at such a young age and it was all because her mother decided to sign her up for ice skating. Ever since Soeun grew in love with dancing and wanted to expand her skills in dancing and learn different kinds. She learned contemporary for a few years, but figured it was like ice skating but not on ice. She would look up some dance videos on youtube and learned from there. Soeun's parents realized that on stage is where Soeun most felt like herself.

Because soeun grew up with such a loving and supporting family, it made her be the kind hearted, selfless, innocent and hard working person she is today.

TRAINING PERIOD:　1 year (jyp) + 2 years (big hit)

TRAINEE LIFE :　Being a trainee is indeed as tiring and stressful as everyone says it is. But despite that, Soeun was a really hard worker. She'd practice until the wee hours of the morning to improve on her skills. She would complain every once in a while for being tired, but even though, she liked it because she was doing something she loved to do. Soeun always remembered to stay humble and to not forget the person she was when she first stepped into the jyp/big hit building. She promised herself that even if she does get famous, she still wants to be that humble and hard working girl she was back in London. Soeun did have some close friends as a trainee, but not much. There were a lot of people she knew of and they knew her, but they would just would greet each other in the hallways for she wasn't super close with many people. To be honest, when Soeun first entered the company, she wasn't really good as everyone else. But with hard work and determination, she did improve a lot. She believes that hard work really does pay off.

As a trainee, Soeun practiced her singing because when she first entered, she wasn't that good. But throughout the years, she improved a lot and became one of the higher singers. As for dancing, she made the auditions because of dancing, so she was a top dancer as a trainee. everyone thought she was really good.

Soeun was a insecure and timid person when she first stepped into the building. Everyone in there were so good and intimidating that she would loose confidence a lot. Being a trainee, not only did she work on her skills, but she worked on her self confidence as well, which took quiet sometime. It was really difficult for her to do, but she learned how to step out of her shell and gain confidence. On stage is where Soeun feels belonged. Despite being a shy and timid person, Soeun loves being on stage, thinking it's the only way she can express herself in a way she loves. On stage is where she feels content.

SCANDALS :  "BTS Jungkook and B.Galaxy Soeun dating?!" — this happened because on BTS's official twitter, this picture was posted 'on accident' but was taken down almost immidiately. Of course, fans were fast enough to save the picture or screenshot it. BigHit confirmed it, and after a while, surprisingly, the fans were okay with it and actually thought the two looked good together. He then started posting more pictures of her ( 1  | 2 | 3 | 4 ) and they were openly dating.

❀THIS IS HOW I AM

It seems that you are finally debuting? What are your thoughts about it?

▸ When the company told me that I was going to debut, it took like 3 weeks until it finally hit me. *laughs* Even now, the thought is unbelievable. The thought that all my hard work is finally paying off and my dream of becoming a singer and performer is finally coming true is enough to make me cry. I think, after our first debut stage, I will cry. *laughs again* I'm really thankful.

Why did you chose to start the training in order to become an idol? ANd why did you end up in Big hit entertainment?

▸ Ever since I was young, I really loved to sing and dance. My mom told me stories about how I first started having an interest in singing when I was just 3 years old! I could barely speak, and yet I wanted to sing already. *laughs* So it has always been my dream to be a performer. I really had no other interest than that. I ended up in Big Hit because.. Actually, I was a trainee at JYP entertainment at first, but after a year of training there, I took a break due to school and stress. After that I was auditioning for Superstar K, but got rejected. It was then when I got scouted from Big Hit entertainment, and now I'm here!

Many people has already started to compare your group with your sunbae, BTS . What do you think about them? Are you close with them? :

▸ Bangtan oppas are a group of really talented and hard working people. I really admire them and respect them a lot, and I also want to learn a lot from them. I think they are really great on and off stage, from their never ending charisma on stage to their dorky and funny personalities off stage. I am, in fact, close with all of them, especially Kim Tae oppa. I'm sure everyone already knows, but we're really close. He is my first friend I made when I entered the company. They are all really fun people to be around and they take care of me and the other members a lot. We like to play whenever we both are free. Really, their personalities are like what you see on tv.  We haven't played together in a while, so i hope that i will see them more often now. I miss them a lot.

A lot of new group has debuted recently ? Do you think your group will do well? ACCORDING TO YOU , WHAT IS B.GALAXY CHARM ? :

▸ B.Galaxy is different from other groups. First of all, we do everything ourselves, such as composing our music, writing our lyrics and choreographing our own dances. Unnie is really talented at making music, while I get the opportuniuty to share my dance moves with my group. Each and every song we share with the world has a very special meaning and is very close to our hearts. Another thing is we are very diverse! There are a lot of different nationalities in our group! Although I am full korean, I was born in raised in London. We are all from different places. Imagine that.. [number of members] people all from different places end up in the same place with the same dream and the same goals. That's pretty charming itself, don't you think? *giggles*

IS THERE A PARTICULAR ACTIVITY YOU'D LIKE TO TRY IN THE FUTURE (LIKE ACTING, MUSICALS, VARIETY, REALITY SHOWS ,ETC...)? :

▸ Ah~ My main focus right now is B.Galaxy, I don't want to think too much of the future. *laughs* Oh, I still have to answer the question? Umm, if there is one thing, I would like B.Galaxy to have our own show! Variety, reality, it doesn't matter. I just think it'll be a great way in letting our fans know who we are, personally. Maybe a show with Bangtan oppas? That would be fun *laughs* Oh! And if there is a chance, maybe in the way future, I would like to try singing and OST and have a collaboration stage with someone! Maybe a collaboration stage with a Bangtan member?
