when joen is performing on stage, despite her lack of self confidence, she peforms with such passion. you could tell that when soeun is performing on stage, she is really happy and that she loves doing what she does. she always gives her all when she performs, never dancing lazily. she likes to make eye contact with fans, and gazing at the camera. her facial expressions when she performs is no joke. it's like she transforms into someone else when she performs, her cute image disappearing (unless they are doing a cute concept).

when toy first debuted, joen would get camera shy at times, so she wouldn't say much (which is why people thought she was an 'ice princess'). however, she slowly loosened up and was able to show fans her real, dorky, bubbly personality. what ever she shows on camera, is what she is like in real life.

growing up in the streets of london, soeun lived a simple life. she went to school( she was a decent students, wasn't super smart but wasn't dumb either), and liked to spend time with her family. Growing up she was an obedient and shy child, always obeying her parents rules and such. You could say she was one of those goody two shoes who never wanted to get in trouble even though there were plenty of times she did). She was also one of those kids who loved and charished their parents a lot. Soeun was always close with her brother. Well, at first when they were both little and immature, they would fight A LOT. But it was just those stupid fights where the younger sister wants to play with the older brother, but he thinks she's annoying so she goes running into her room sobbing that her brother doesn't like her. But, as the two grew older and they both matured a bit, they became really close. Being only 4 years apart, the two had some similarities and could relate with each other. They became unseperatable and they love each other dearly, being the people they can trust the most and talk about anything and evrything with each other. Because soeun grew up with such a loving and supporting family, it made her be the kind hearted, selfless, innocent and hard working person she is today.
✿ i am who i am today, because of you — Soeun started dancing at such a young age and it was all because her mother decided to sign her up for ballet. Ever since Soeun grew in love with dancing and wanted to expand her skills in dancing and learn different kinds. She learned contemporary for a few years, and ice skating. She would look up some dance videos on youtube and learned from there. Soeun's parents realized that on stage is where Soeun most felt like herself, and where her bashful self shines the most. As for singing, it was more of a little hobby for Soeun. She wasn't one to show off her voice and did most of her singing in the shower, or whenver she played her guitar or piano. She was good at it, but she didn't think so.
✿ ready, set, don't go — Soeun auditioned for BigHit through an audition process online where she had to record herself dancing, singing and send professional pictures of herself. She auditioned just for fun, not thinking she'd get in, but to her surprise the company was very interested in her. At first her parents were iffy about the whole idea with moving to korea, especially Bighit was a company they didn't know of, but after a few days of deciding, they allowed her to pursue her dreams, as long as she was happy.

soeun remembers walking into bit hit's building feeling very nervous and scared. Being a trainee is indeed as tiring and stressful as everyone says it is. But despite that, Soeun was a really hard worker. She'd practice until the wee hours of the morning to improve on her skills. She would complain every once in a while for being tired, but even though, she liked it because she was doing something she loved to do. Soeun always remembered to stay humble and to not forget the person she was when she first stepped into the jyp/big hit building. She promised herself that even if she does get famous, she still wants to be that humble and hard working girl she was back in London. Soeun did have some close friends as a trainee, but not much. There were a lot of people she knew of and they knew her, but they would just would greet each other in the hallways for she wasn't super close with many people. To be honest, when Soeun first entered the company, she wasn't really good as everyone else. But with hard work and determination, she did improve a lot. She believes that hard work really does pay off.
As a trainee, Soeun practiced her singing because when she first entered, she wasn't that good. But throughout the years, she improved a lot and became one of the higher singers among the trainees. As for dancing, she always enjoyed dancing so it was an easier catergory for her, so she was a top dancer as a trainee. Although, she was so used to dancing gracfully in ballet and contemporary, that it took her a while to get used to dancing so sharply and strongly. however everyone thought she was really good. soeun learned how to rap as a trainee, though.
Soeun was a insecure and timid person when she first stepped into the building. Everyone in there was so good and intimidating that she would loose confidence a lot. There were many mant times when she wanted to give up and go back to London, but she decided to keep going. Being a trainee, not only did she work on her skills, but she worked on her self confidence as well, which took quiet sometime. It was really difficult for her to do, but she learned how to step out of her shell and gain confidence. On stage is where Soeun feels belonged. Despite being a shy and timid person, Soeun loves being on stage, thinking it's the only way she can express herself in a way she loves. On stage is where she feels content.

PERSONALITY —
• the golden maknae of the rising group BTS, is indeed skilled in many things and is the hottie super bomb of many girl's hearts. he's actually shy and quiet at times. he is somewhat like soeun when it comes to meeting him for the first time. he's shy and quiet at first and isn't good at approaching people first, but once you get to know him and he feels comfortable with you, he discover that the boy is a huge dork and a major goofball. he often shows a mature and manly image, but in reality he's such a kid and really is the maknae of his group. he doesn't like to admit it, but he loves being the maknae. he's a big softie and a major sweetheart, it's not a surprise that he has many noona fans. he's a polite and kind person, who only has good intentions.

LOVE STORY —
• jungkook and soeun first met when soeun was still a new trainee in big hit, and jungkook was one of the higher leveled trainees. soeun was already a skilled dancer from her experiences with ballet and contemporary, but she had trouble dancing to hip hop and hitting sharper moves since she was used to dancing gracfully. her dance teacher assigned someone to personally help her with that with one on one lessons, and that person was jungkook. she was a bit confused as to why a fellow trainee had to teach her and not an actual dance instructer, but she didn't question anything and did what she was told to do. she also figured that the trainee must be really good to the point where he can teach,
as soon as jungkook walked into the room, she felt her heart beat faster than usual. she was shocked to see him, the top trainee, that everyone in the company speaks highly about. she was also a bit scared, as people would say that he's a bit intimidating and cold, as he doesn't really talk to others, some say he's stuck up and cocky, that's why he doesn't talk to anyone, other than his hyungs. everything she would hear about him wasn't good. overall, soeun was nervous and scared.
as the lessons started soeun found out that jungkook is the complete opposite of what people would say about him. he was actually a nice, gentle, funny and polite guy, and the reason he doesn't talk to anyone is because he is shy.
jungkook really taught her well, and she could see that she improved just after two sessions with him. after each session, jungkook and soeun would get closer and closer. soeun is a shy person as well, and didn't have much friends in the company, and she was glad she met jungkook. they became really close that being by each others sides became a habit of theirs.
basically her first impression of jungkook, ignoring what everyone else would say, is that he was a really nice, funny and talented boy. hands down, he was really good looking too. she was thankful for him because he was always so patient with her when he had to teach her dance. every time he sang, she would feel all warm from the inside out. every time she sees him, she can't get herself to look away, but every time they made eye contact, she'd get super shy. soeun didn't exactly know why she was feeling this way, but she liked it. a lot.
as for jungkook, his first impressions of soeun was that she was really pretty, and that every time he had dance sessions with her, he'd get super nervous. and as they slowly started getting closer, he was falling for her at the same time. the first time he realized he liked her was when he came late during a session, and when he walked into the practice room, soeun was playing the guitar while singing. that moment, to him, was just so beautiful. it was his first time hearing her sing, and he just fell in love with her voice. when she realized he was in the room, she got embarrassed and shy and quickly apologized. he thought that was cute, and next thing he knew he was adoring every little thing she would do.
RELATIONSHIP — relationship goals. they're basically really comfortable with each other, like best friends. they knew each other well enough to know how to deal with each other during certain situations. in a relationship, both parties have to have effort, and in their relationship, that is not a problem. they like each other so much, that they're basically always in the 'honeymoon phase'. even when they get into petty arguements, they fix the problem very quikly. there are still times, however, when they can get shy in front of each other.
TRIVIA —
- in the beginning of the story, they're not a couple but they're really close friends who obviously like each other but they don't know yet. it's frustrating to the people around them because it's like "just get together already!!" Jungkook decided to confess to her shortly after she debuted, and they started to date secretly since then, only their group members and company knew, and they're really good at hiding it from the fans, although there are a bunch of fans that ship them.

- whenever Jungkook and Joen are having late night cravings, they always go to a bubble tea cafe near the bighit building to satisfy their cravings and to just spend time together at the end of the day. They both enjoy going to arcades and to relax by the han river (the make sure to go at a time when no one is around so they won't get caught). They go out for ice cream dates, since they both love ice cream
- they do this thing sometimes where they hold pinkies, instead of hands. (but it always ends up to holding hands at the end tbh)
- since they have a slight major height difference, Jungkook tends to lift Joen up when they hug, since he's so strong and she's so tiny
