TRAINEE BACKGROUND [ ♦ ] Jinny auditioned to SM Entertainment in 2011. Despite her cheerful exterior, she is really passionate. She learned English and some Japanese. She made lifelong friends while training. She greatly improving her dancing skills which was one of her weak points when she first started training. She lived in a dorm room with 5 other female trainees for the first 3 years of training (including Red Velvet's Irene, Wendy and Seulgi). Was considered as a part of the lineup for Red Velvet but was dropped as it was a concensus that she'd be better suited as a leader for SM's new female project.

//Chlling and Dorking Around Every day with Jinny is a new day and you never really know what you get with her. She's always got at least one jokes in the back of her mind that she's willing to blurt out at any moment. She has the ability to make even the most serious of people laugh out loud with all of her antics, which is one of the reason why her friends love her so much. She's the type of person that can make any akwardness completely disappear. She can do spot-on impressions of other celebrities, make up fictional characters (kind of like Miranda Sings), make dorky faces.  Seeing her friends happy and content because of her makes her really happy. Jinny is the best at making friends and making them feel welcomed and included in all activities. In her down time, she always has a smile on her face

// Hard at work However, when it comes time to work, she can be a bit serious. As a leader, Jinny is extremely passionate when it comes to her career. She wants her and everyone on her team to be able to debut on time and be the best that they can be. She encourages everyone to bring out their best potential. She's very hardworking and tries to be an example for the younger members. If her members have any problems, she'll sit them down and mediate between them and really have them work things out.

// We are not all perfect As bright and energetic as she is, Jinny does also have some negative aspects to her that she really needs to work on. She can sometimes be a little bit too harsh her critiques (which causes her to unknowingly hurt other people's feelings). She can be very analytical and critical of other's people's choices. She tells it how she sees it. If someone is being lazy when it comes to practicing, she will call them out on their laziness and almost shame them for it (the shaming part is something she definately needs to work on).

BACKGROUND [ ♦ ] Yoon Jin Ah was born in Seoul, South Korea to a librarian mother and a film critic father. She has one younger sister named Yoon Min Ah who is currently training under SM C&C to become an actress. Jinny was an average kid with average grades (her sister was the one with the better grades in the family)However, she exceled in the arts. Drawing and painting were a couple of her favorite things to do as a kid. Jinny always knew that her calling was the entertainment industry, several people over her lifetime had told her that she would be very good as an entertainer because of her extrovert personality. Finally, in March 2011 she auditioned for SM Entertainment's weekly audition with this song, the following month she was called back for a second audition and by June 2011 she had signed an exclusive contract with the agency.

PERSONALITY [ ♦ ] Dedicated, smart, can be a little serious sometimes, grounded (He's not usually the one to make jokes or have any sort of antics but he can definately appriciate a good joke. He loves to read. But a lot of the time he's pretty serious. He's mature for his age which Jinny likes)

RELATIONSHIP [ ♦ ]  They are pretty friendly. Most of the times you wouldn't be able to tell that she's older because he basically acts like he's th older one out of the two. Jinny told him not to address her as noona because it made her feel older than she really needed to be. So, they speak to each other very informally.  Jinny has a huge crush on him but she's very reluctant to share that information with anyone and puts her good acting skills to use and tries to suppress it as much as she can. (He actually does too but according to him, he's getting "mixed signals" and doesn't know if he should confess or not, and unlike Jinny he does confide in his group members).

HISTORY [ ♦ ] Jinny and Jinyoung actually met through a friend of a mutual friend. In 2012, Jinny got to know Amber (who is pretty much friends with any living human) who was a company sunbae and a member of f(x). She invited her and Seulgi (Red Velvet) to a party where they met Jackson. And introduced them to Jinyoung who was with JB at the time since they had recently debuted as JJProject. Jinny didn't really know much about the JYP trainees so she assumed that Jinyoung was older since he pretty much seemed to act that way, but soon found out that both of them were in fact younger than her. She became friends with most of the JYP trainees from that point (including Mark, Jackson and Bambam). They all hung out as friends and after JB & Jr. became trainees again to prepare for got7's debut, Jinyoung and Jinny became closer as friends through their love for literature and have remained that way every since. He developed his crush on her over time after seeing her dedication and passion for her career. He really admires how she overcomes every obstacle that she faces. Jinny likes him for his kindness, gentleness and most importantly his intelligence.
