Another rant about Yixing, since that's all the fandom can seem to talk about nowadays.

OK, honestly, i love exo as a group, BUT I DO NOT WANT THEM AS INDIVIDUALS TO COMPROMISE OR SACRIFICE THEIR PERSONAL GOALS FOR SM’S SAKE. 

I mean, Yixing has stated in several interviews that his dream is to be known as a musical artist, and he doesn’t just want to be famous in korea, he wants his fellow countrymen and women to acknowledge and respect him and his work. And it is absolutely NOT selfish of him to want that.

if you truly cared about them, you would also care about the individual members’ happiness and their individual goals and dreams. they are people, humans who have dreams and aspirations, hopes and a vision of their future that is unique to them, just like you and me.  

I hope the exo-l fandom can show yixing and chanyeol and all the members that we support them as individual human beings as well as a group. 

EXO-L’S PLEASE.

GUARD THEIR HOPES. SUPPORT THEIR DREAMS. BE A SOURCE OF STRENGTH FOR THEM. 

SHOW THEM THAT WE WANT THEM TO REACH THEIR GOALS EVEN IF SM MAY NOT.

I support actor kyungsoo, i support chanyeol’s music production & i support his chinese movie, i support sehun and junmyeon’s acting careers. i support exo’s comeback.

And as a Xingmi, I wholeheartedly support yixing’s dreams of becoming an artist. Please, do not just say that you support EXO as a whole and completely ignore their individual wants and needs. 

Finding out that yixing turned down billions’ worth of movie deals and tv show contracts just to sing 2 minutes in the ex’act album pisses me off so much. 

because he is already sacrificing so much just to keep sm and the fans happy. we all know that Yixing’s dream in life to be recognized for his musical artistry and to be respected as a musician in china, not just as an idol in korea, and seeing how excited he is to share his music, it just breaks my heart that SM won’t give him a chance, even after he’s proven his loyalty time and time again. 

it honestly makes me so angry to see him turning away amazing opportunities for the sake of keeping sm and exo-l’s happy, even if it keeps him away from his dream. support the group, but don’t forget that they are individuals and they also have dreams and hopes for a future, a future that may or may not include exo, whether you like it or not.

Ugh, all I want in life is for Zhang Yixing to become the well-respected musical artist that he so desperately wants to be.

He has so much passion and creativity, he is so innovative. He’s driven and wants it so badly. He’s talented, he has tremendous discipline, he has a fantastic honest work ethic. He’s a man who knows what he wants, and is not intimidated by exhaustion or failure or by the fact that the road to reaching his dream might be long and difficult. But most of all, I am endlessly amazed by the way he carries himself with such humility. I am in awe.

He, more than anyone else I know, deserves to realize his dream. 

Yixing is my role model in life.
