appearance — Hiro looks more Korean than Japanese,despite being full Japanese. He has a nice smile and a playful smirk with a gleam is his eyes that you may not notice,but it is there. His skin is pale and his face has soft angles. He has small tattoos with Japanese Kanji along his body(back) and piercings in his ears. 

fashion style — Often wears dark clothe.Hoodies ,sneakers and graphic tshirts are his favorites.

Mutant appearence — Hiro remains looking the same,his abilities does not manifest fisically.It is almost impossible to notice when he is using his powers,except by an almost invisible green gleam is his eyes,that just appears during a fractioin of a second.

ABILITIES — Mind control,mood changing. Whenever Hiro is close to someone ,he can detect or feel the person's aura(mood,feelings) and consequently he gets affected by it.He can block the person's aura too ,but it takes a lot of effort to do so and Hiro ends up exhausted after doing it.He's been practicing but he has not mastered it yet. Mind controling is easier for Hiro to perform. He can order you to do anything he wants.He can even read your thoughts too. Sometimes he does it unconciously .No one or anything(demons,other mythical creatures) can actually control him or make him do anything. He has a ind palace that can't be taken down,it only grows more and more as Hiro matures.

"I have the heart of a lion" Hiro is a boy who lost the fear to many things a long time ago. Being a "freak" has helped you know? after some time you just get accostumed to some things or you learn that there are worst fears than spiders or the darkness. He learned that you don't need to be afraid of the darkness,but what's hiding in it. Seldom times you see Hiro acting cowardly.He stands for what he believes and protects those who can't defend by themselves. Leaving in a world were danger is waiting for you at every corner keeps you alert and Hiro keeps his guard up always.But this doesn't mean that he is always serious.Hiro is a playful boy too,after all,he's just 18 years old. He is always up for an adventure or in favor of trying new things. Just don't let him get too crazy because being around of many emotions at the same time can be very unbalancing and it tends to make Hiro be unpredictable.Guess that's part of his charm(?)   

"Have courage and be kind"  Hiro is a nice boy,despite his troubled existence. He doesn't let his abilities to control his whole life. He likes to smile and to play and just like every other teen,to have a good time. He may not be always rays and sunshines ,but Hiro doesn't let a little bit of clouds and rain ruin his day. Although sometimes he gets very gloomy or depressed if he's been over-exposed  to someone who's aura is gloomy and dark and like I said before,he could try to block it,but it takes too much effort.Hiro practices day and night,but it takes a lot of his vital energy. He does not have a heart of gold ,but he can be very sweet and kind when he wants to,for example,with little kids,he has a soft spot for them. 

"You'll do as I say" Like I said,Hiro doesn't have a heart of gold. He's not a pure angel. Let's just say that he has a bit of a dark edge to him. With his abilities,Hiro can make people do or act like he wants,with no exceptions and of course Hiro uses it to his advantage,to get what he wants with no effort. Hiro's a charmer so sometimes he doesn't even need to use his powers to get you to do what  he wants.You can be easily enthralled by him.It's hard to say no to his playful smirk and carefree personality,but being playful and carefree has its downfall.Hiro can be too carefree,to the point where her gets in trouble or does something incredebly stupid just for the sake it or to be daring. 

"No attachments" Hiro tries to not get attached to people or to things. Due to his powers and the world he lives in ,he is acostumed to run ,to scape and to hide from the ones who are really cruel,the ones hunting his kind. Those are the real evil. Hiro prefers to save his heart from hurting,by not getting attached to people he fears that sooner or later will end up death or worse because of him. He may not act as if he does not care,even if he is nice to you or helps you daily,he is fighting himself to not open up to you and let you in and he has a hard time trusting others,he has a small circle of friends and no family besides his brother and his aunt. When you meet him,you think you know the real him,the playful,cheery boy,but that is just the outside,you are barely scratching the surface,there is much more than smiles and jokes in Hiro. 

 

background — Hiro was born in Japan,more specificaly in Tokyo. He comes from a merchant family.His father and mother took him and his older brother to Seoul,South Korea when he was 5 and his brother 11. Hiro thought nothing of it,it was just another city to live for a short time until his father finished his business there. But in turned to be more. When Hiro was 10 his powers developed fully. He was always a sensitive boy.He used to cry easily when certain people hold him. Or he'd get angry or extremely happy,depending on the person and as he grew up,the changes where more frequent. His parents took him to a doctor,which diagnosed him with 'bipolarity' and 10  there were more than just mood changes.He could now hear people's thoughts . Hiro hid this from his parents,thinking that the doctors would just try to medicate him or send him away. The only one who he told was Tadashi,who promised to hide it too. When Hiro was 14 his parents died in a mysterious fire,the police said it was started by a candle left in the kitchen,but Hiro knew they were lying when he stood near them,he could feel it.After  ,Tadashi and his Aunt Cas worked day and night to raise him,always caring for him.Hiro could never thank them enough for everything they did for him,specially Tadashi,who sometimes stayed home instead of going out with his friends to help Hiro with his homework . At 15 Hiro got into some really bad trouble,with the wrong people,by bieng his usual reckless self,that's when he met Nali,she saved him and showed him the world he knows today. She was like him. He finally understood that he wasn't bipolar,he didn't have a mental disorder. He was just different from everyone else.Nali told him there were more like them,Hiro finally felt like he was not alone.He became part of Wings of Steel where he found a family,a bit disfunctional,but still,his family.

For the Mike one is because he promised himself to remain happy and smile despite hard times,for the phrases I think there are pretty explanatory,the Skull is for himself,to remind him that he is not inmortal and the feather,because he wants to be light as a feather,to remain cool headed,not get carried away by his powers.
