Before Ahri opens to talk about elephants, she's actually quite cute-looking as a result of her resting nice face. At just 157cm, she's shorter than most of the school population and the middle school next door too, weighing in on her totoro bathroom scale at 48kg. She has long chocolate brown hair and the way it's styled when she finally gets to school in the mornings depends on how the wind decides to blow that day. She has no significant birthmarks, tattoos, nor piercings, but with the amount of times she's still cooed at by ahjummas on her way to school, she's been wanting to get something pierced. She also sometimes gets charged the middle-school bus fare rate, which kind of makes her bewildered because "I'm 17!!!" but at least it makes her wallet cry less.

To make up for her apparent lack of maturity in her physical appearance judging by the amount of times she's gotten charged the middle school bus fare rate in the last 2 years, Ahri tries to dress more her age when she has the chance to outside of school, which usually consists of a nice dress, the first cardigan or sweater she can find, and a pair of sandals or flats. On the off day she feels like she wants to just throw on something and go, it'll probably be a pair of shorts or jeans, and a t-shirt. Most of her things are of neutral or subtle colour, although Ahri doesn't have much in her closet anyway since five days out of the week, she's required to wear her uniform.

According to Yoongi, there are three levels of passion: there's passion, there's PASSION, and then there's PASSIOOOONNNNN. Guess which level Ahri is at? Despite her having no chill when it comes to the topic of elephant abuse in circuses, there is actually another side to her that the sweg crew gets to witness. Ever since she switched school districts, Ahri hasn't had a lot of close friends. She's chummy with everyone she meets, but other than that, she has no one she can call up at night and ask "Hey, you wanna hang out?" (until she meets Taehyung in the ninth grade ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)). At first glance, it looks like Ahri has a lot of confidence in herself and in her own beliefs, and she does! which makes public speaking something that comes natural to her, but on the flip-side, the same thing that makes her attractive to some may be unattractive to others when they realize just how aggressive she is when it comes to stating her views. She has a habit of shoving her opinons down your throat, and not realizing she is while caught up in the act, but despite her impulsiveness, she's actually quite a sweet girl with an infectious positive energy, but instead of the energy bursting out in explosions like it does for some people, it's just a low thrumming that radiates slowly as she goes about her day. I guess you could call her a little bit of a two-faced person.

Ahri is not particularly an overly cheerful person, but she's good-natured and inclusive, a hardworker when it comes to things she likes, and unfortunately, a slacker when it comes to things she doesn't. With Ahri, most things are black-and-white. If she likes , she loves and if she dislikes, she hates. There is no in-between. She's an independent sort of person, not easily bogged down or discouraged by the thought of being alone, and doesn't think much of having to eat lunch by herself. She's casual, thinks most things are whatever, and is generally down to do anything with anybody, as long as she's having fun and no elephants are harmed in the process. She's always running around doing this and that, and besides her legs never being able to keep still, it seems like neither can . She talks a mile a minute, and it seems like it's impossible for her to run out of topics. if you look up 'chatterbox' in the dictionary, you might see a picture of her face there staring right back at you.

Before she met the sweg crew, Ahri was at least a little bit tameable, but with 13 other people now added into the mix, she's wild. Hi friends!! She'll scream as she glomps each and every one of her exhausted friends upon arriving at school, positively radiating despite it being o'clock in the morning. I love you guys!!

Kim Ahri was born prematurely on a hot summer day in june during her parents' babymoon in the gorgeous country of Thailand. Her very pregnant mother was holding a piece of watermelon out to a baby elephant at an elephant sanctuary when baby Ahri decided she finally wanted to gtfo out of the womb at just 32 weeks. With no hospital nearby, distressed and scarred-for-life underprepared sanctuary staff were the only people there to help her deliver. Despite complications and premature labour, baby Ahri came into the world beautiful and healthy, except the first thing she saw was not her mother, no. It was an elephant. According to Ahri's mother, baby Ahri would not stop staring at the gigantic land creature. Everytime they took her away, she would wail like a building was burning down until an elephant was in her line of sight again. Needless to say, the flight back to Seoul was spent apologizing to every single person on the plane because sadly, there were no elephants on the plane to pacify little Ahri. Today, Yoongi blames this exact reason for Ahri's current elephant obsession. ("I knew it! You had elephant trauma in your childhood! This is why you're so messed up!" Yoongi screams, pointing an accusing finger at an offended Ahri. "Excuse me???")

Eventually, Ahri did grow out of her elephant phase, though they were still her favourite animal, and grew up like every other child in Seoul (much to the relief of her parents). She turned out to be a pretty nice kid, always friendly to the people around her. Bus drivers always cooed whenever she hobbled onto the bus with her short legs, and the street vendor ahjummas always gave her free dukkbokki when she passed by on her walk home from school. In fact, she attended a small elementary school out of her neighbourhood district and near her father's workplace instead, which made dropping her off in the mornings easier since it was on his way to work. In elementary school, she owned the podium, schooled the other kids in public speaking, and won many national debate competitions much to nobody's surprise. In her last year of elementary school, she discovered a circus group featuring elephants were coming to town. She loved elephants, how could she not go? So with her best friend from back in the day, the two of them went to see the show. They arrived early, about an hour and a half too early to be letting guests in, but Ahri was so excited to see elephants, they snuck into the tent through the staff entrance at the back. That was when she saw bullhooks swung into the flesh of baby elephants, and then she saw red.

Needless to say, the entire circus event was cancelled because of the commotion of one elementary schooler with a punch more powerful than Muhammad Ali. She was legendary in her school's district, but when elementary school graduation came around, she was forced to attend high school in her own home district due to her wild reputation among the kids at her elementary school who decided they wanted to follow in her footsteps. Thus, she attended high school in a new area, with new friends, where she found the Animal Rights Club ("!!" Her dad screamed as he squinted at the list of clubs on the school's website. "ANIMAL RIGHTS?? HONEY, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS??"). Nobody was surprised when she announced to her parents during dinner one week later that she wanted to become an animal rights activist ("I'm going to be an animal rights activist!" Ahri announced. Her mom continued to push the remaining pieces of beef around on her plate with a bored look on her face while her dad flipped another page of his newspaper. "Hey, are you guys listening?")

Ahri doesn't like routine very much, but with the way the educational system is set up, she's very much forced to attend the hellhole called high school at 8:30am every weekday with the same old uniform and the same old backpack. 4 out of 5 days, she wakes up late - not that she cares, but ever since Taehyung started picking her up in the mornings, she's been waking up before her alarm clock (Her mom wakes up abruptly from the sound of pans banging loudly in the kitchen. She groans and drags herself out of bed, arriving at the kitchen disoriented and groggy only to find her daughter whipping up a feast. "What the hell are you doing up so early?" Ahri turns around with a grin on her face brighter than the sun that hasn't even risen yet. "Making breakfast for Taehyung!" Her mother groans, "Go back to sleep! It's like 6 in the morning!" She's ignored by her own daughter, sadly. "Hey, do you think he likes his eggs scrambled or sunny-side up?" Her mom wants to bang her forehead on the nearest counter.)

School itself is rather uneventful for Ahri. She thinks classes are a drag, and the only fun part about it is lunchtime, getting to spread elephant abuse awareness, and attending the animal rights club meetings at the end of the day. Other than that, blegh, school. The worst part about it is that she's expected to stay silent in class, because SILENCE??? WHAT IS SILENCE??? -Cue Ahri biting down on her own first to shut herself up because her lips have started to cramp, they haven't been able to move for five whole minutes!!-

Lunchtime consists of eating with Taehyung (favourite part of the day), and ever since she was dragged into the sweg crew by Yoongi, has started to bother the girls in it as well. Since they're the sweg crew, she jokingly dubbed the girls in it, the unpretty rapstars. Sometimes, she'll ditch Taehyung after school in favour of hanging out with the girls, but she's mostly back at home by 7pm as requested by her mother so the family can at least eat dinner together. Afterwards, Ahri slaves over her homework because even though she hates it and can't do math to save her life, at least she tries. It also gives her an excuse to call her friends to ask about "homework help" and run for about another hour or two.

On weekends, she sleeps in, and when I say she sleeps in, I mean she sleeps like the dead until 2pm in the afternoon. Afterwards, she goes out because she can. There's no school! Whether alone or with friends she drags out, you can generally find her at the local arcade, wasting money in favour of tokens and then hard-earned tickets while trying to get enough to afford the grand prize - an 8-foot-tall massive green dinosaur plushie. It's also only on weekends that she has no 7pm-you-need-to-eat-dinner-with-us curfew. On the occasional weekend, she'll meet Saerin at the library to discuss animal rights club events and stress over details if they have anything large-scale coming up, like a fundraiser to raise money for a generous donation to WWF. If not, Ahri's weekends are honestly spent everywhere, and it doesn't help that she has the entire bus and subway routes memorized.

Taehyung is a ball of random, sunshine, and handsome mixed together by the delicate hands of god. He's a lot like Ahri - tends to speak his mind, is quite shameless, and craves adventure. Weird is the understatement of the century and he's often the source of the crazy ideas and the trouble that the sweg crew gets into, but at the same time, you're almost guaranteed to have the most fun with this guy. He's oddly charming in a way you won't be able to comprehend. Sometimes, he laughs louder than Ahri, but other times, he's quiet and zoned out in his own world. He's up to do anything, even if it might be borderline illegal and despite having membership with the maknae line, enjoys taking care of those around him. At times, he may seem like the most immature guy in the world, and then other times, it's like he's gone into zen mode with the patience of every monk that has ever lived. Taehyung never gets angry. It's almost like the squareish smile on his face has taken permanent residency over his handsome face.

If there's anyone as weird as Kim Taehyung, it's Kim Ahri, and they fit with each other like peanut butter and jelly. They're close, almost soulmates, and at the rate they're going, can probably be considered high school sweethearts by the time they both reach university. They're sweet together, stuck to the other like glue, it makes even Yoongi gag. They're not overly flirtatious or clingy per se, but they share everything - lunch, lockers, weird ideas, and if they weren't almost-dating, Yoongi would've called them twins. The Kim twins, but Ahri has the most obvious crush on the guy and she doesn't hide it, so that obviously ruins the nickname. The two met in their freshman year of high school. They were lab partners in science - their homeroom class, as well as seatmates in photography - their last class. They started and ended off the day with each other, and if that's not a better way to get to know someone, I don't know what is.

Besides Taehyung's reputation as a weirdo, he was also quite sweet, holding back Ahri's long hair as she threw up in the sink after cutting open a grasshopper during their first dissection together. He laughed and she was embarassed, but he took care of her for the rest of their freshman year science class. Even after their first semester ended and all their classes changed, he continued to look for her around school. When they're with each other, you'd guess they were best friends rather than lovers. They laugh at funny youtube videos together, let the other copy homework, and go butterfly hunting (Taehyung's idea) but best friends don't hold hands. They do. They're the kind of couple that's rather subtle, and not all up in your face. The next time Ahri pins you as the next person to talk to elephants about, look behind her. You might see a tall guy with fluffy black hair hanging around and kicking the dirt as he glances up every once in a while to watch the girl you're talking to do her thing. As soon as she's done, you'll see his face light up as she runs back to him as if to say "Hey! Welcome back, I missed you!"

Despite how much the two act like they're dating, they've never actually been official. Everyone kind of knew they just belonged to each other. Do they ever get together officially, or do other problems get in the way? ^___^ I'll leave it up to you!

All I remember was sharing this really good chicken shawarma with Taehyung in the caf that I got from this middle eastern takeout place two blocks away from the school and then Yoongi standing up on his chair to yell something about a sweg crew. To be honest, I think Taehyung and I have three times the swag that Yoongi has. That kid has no swag. Next thing I know, I'm being dragged by Yoongi to someone's house with a bunch of random people after school. I think that might've been the weirdest day of my life, but at least Taehyung was there." Ahri says, smiling fondly at the end.
"Whipped~" Someone whispers loudly from nowhere. It sounds a lot like Jungkook.

"Hey, do you think I can convince the school board to switch these into bean bags?"

We should have something planned for every Friday of every month. That would be fun! On the first friday of every month, we should have a movie night or something! With popcorn. And ouuuh, dukkbokki, and hordes of junk food and sour gummy worms. The second friday of every month can be cooking night! Jin's good at cooking, right? We can invade Namjoon's house and make a feast together. I think my parents would allow me to be out for dinner at least once a week, right? Huh, I guess I'll have to ask! On the third friday, we can pick a place to visit that we haven't been before. We can go paintballing, maybe? Or racing! Yeah! It'll be an adventure! On the last friday of the month, we can just go back to chilling together at Namjoon's house. It'd be a nice way to wind down~
