— lee nari did not necessarily fit her parents' expectations of being a girl. she had all the parts in all the right places, but her personality begged to differ. her female anatomy was screaming "i am a girl!", while her habits screamed "shut the up!" she was the perfect epitome of what some may call a tom-boy.

while some daughters went shopping with their mother's for clothing, jewelry, or cosmetics, nari went to showcases of cars with her father and older brother, lin yi. it's safe to say: lin nari has an obsession with cars, especially jdm cars. throughout her high school career, she took all the automotive courses that were offered. she graduated not only with her high school diploma but the knowledge and ability to modify cars. occasionally, her friends would hit her up and ask for her advice on what she would reccommend because they trust her insight more than their own.
with that said, nari is not the type of person who is afraid to get down and dirty. this includes getting her set of brand new clothing dirty while changing a tire, or something equivalent. she is a hands-on type of person so everything she does requires a practical approach. sadly, if it's not practical and applicable to life, she will forget it in a matter of seconds.
similar to clothing, jewelry, and cosmetics, cooking is not for her. she could cook, but cooking something and having it be edible is entirely different. she focused more in the living room than in the kitchen. with her hands, she learned to strategically push buttons on a controller rather than cutting vegetables.
her personality may seem to revolve around traits men would often possess, however she does have a couple universal traits women can relate to. completely unrelated and unforeseen from nari's personality, she likes cute stationary. in her drawers and backpack she has nothing but pens and notepads with cartoon characters on it. she gains a form of relaxment and joy when using cute things. also, nari is an extremely moody person. she acts as if she's on her period pms-ing on a daily basis, which can be seen as hilarious if she's not directing her anger towards you. when she is angry, she tends to get violent physically (she doesn't hurt people, she hurts herself and inanimate objects) and verbally. she throws things across the room, kicks down doors, and even punches a hole in the wall while cursing. everyone assumes its a habit of hers that was influenced by her father and brother--which is possibly true. in addition to that, she was influenced by the men in her family to be messy. casually throwing her things around the room and whatnot, but this is a trait she refuses to admit.
lin nari is a painfully honest individual, which is never a good thing for her meddlesome personality. she never thinks twice before saying something and this tends to lead her into sticky situations. at times, her honesty and meddling caused a friend to cry even more. basically, nari cannot comfort people. more-so-than-often, nari will be the one who apologizes first due to her choice of words. if it was not her fault, she refuses to apologize or speak to the person until they initiate; this can last for days. overall, she's a forgiving person who does not hold grudges so it's best to just apologize.
she is an extrovert. she enjoys the physical presence of others and can spark up a conversation within seconds of meeting someone for the first time. her personality is adaptable to all sorts of environments. however, as much as an extrovert she may be, she does enjoy being on her own at times.
one trait she possesses and absolutely hates is how obessive she is. she's aware of her actions and tries her best to change it but it never happens. when she cares deeply about someone, she ends up worrying a little too much. where are you? who are you with? when will you be home? did you eat yet? at first, people find it cute that she's worried about their wellbeing, but as time goes on, it becomes a nuisance.
similar to every other prospective medical student, nari prioritizes her education and nothing else. if she ever goes missing, you would find this young and determined girl studying in her room until the early mornings, or a local library that opened 24-hours. this was her form of self-torture. this part of her worries her family deeply, especially since she's away from home. she's the type of person that, regardless of the physical and mental pain she is in, will never complain about it.

— lin nari was born and rasied in hong kong by her chinese father and korean mother. she has one brother whom is four years older, lin yi. her childhood mainly consisted of spending time with yi, as both her parents worked to put food on the table. her family was not necessarily rich, nor were they poor--they were the average middle-classed family. her parents showed their love and affection daily, or they attempted to. homecooked meals and random trips to places (for example the car shows) that made their kids happy were what they tried to do. those events weren't often but they happened, and that's all that mattered.

when she was 3 years old, her brother made her a bowl of ramen noodles. he left her for a minute to grab her a spoon and within seconds he heard a bowl shatter against the ground and a little girl crying. she had accidentally pulled the bowl too far out and it had spilled on her, giving her a second-degree burn. due to a scar left behind, she is insecure and refuses to show her thighs. you will never see her wearing short-shorts or mini-skirts.
just like everyone else, lin nari was into the korean entertainment industry. she had always been fascinated with the music and attractive men, mainly the attractive men. nari had traveled to all sorts of places, but south korea was never one. she wanted to study abroad in a university and somehow stumbled upon sungkyunkwan university.
eventually, every college student classifies themselves as a "broke college ". nari was not an exception. she contemplated staying in dorms but realized they were too expensive, so she looked around and found muhanjeong. it was perfect for her: a place within the same city as her university and it was affordable.

- her alcohol tolerance is stronger than most females; it's on the same level as her male peers. often times, people would ask her to help them take their shots.

- when she sleeps, she never uses a pillow for its purpose. instead, she uses it to cover her eyes. this is mainly because she has to sleep in a dark room and refuses to buy an eye-mask.
- she has had 4 boyfriends. 2 of those ended due to her obsessive/clingy personality. 1 of them ended because she was not a "female" in his eyes. remaining 1 ended because feelings were lost.
- she has a shelf filled with fictional books of all genres. she never touches them; it's more of a decor that hides her a books in the back.
- she keeps nonperishable foods in her room. she does not like sharing her favorite consumables.

nari's personality is similar to a man's, so it's quite easy for her to get along with the opposite gender, including her roommate. they just met but act like they have known each other since childhood. they're borth carefree and figured they must get along if they're going to live together.
she shares a love-hate relationship with him. they talk to each other about their days and greet each other every morning. she likes his personality but hates his habits. he's messy and throws his garbage all over the place. she complains constantly, only to be refuted with "you are messy yourself!" he never contributes to the overall apartment. he never cooks or cleans and demands food from nari while he relaxes on the couch watching tv. he's basically that friend who likes to play, but does not like to clean.
he treats her like a little sister and gives off the vibe her older brother, lin yi, gives. he wants to protect her and make her smile however, this is just what he wants. her roommate is far better at irritating nari than making her happy. often times, you will see or hear them arguing over the simplest things, like not throwing out the trash or washing the dishes. it happens quite often due to the laziness of her roommate; he refuses to do his daily responsibilties around the place.

» frankly, i was shocked to have been informed my roommate was the opposite gender. in fact, i am still shocked. i took up the offer assuming it was similar to my freshman dorming life. i mean my roommate then and i acted like bros more than any guy i had ever met. plus, if i may say so myself, my personality is hella easy to get along with. but lets just keep it simple and say living with a man is out of my comfort zone. i guess as far as personality and habits go, females and males differ immensely. his habits actually make mine seem lady-like for once!

» keep it on the down-low! i ran away from home to pursue my education. haha jokes. my family lives in hong kong. i'm a study-abroad student here and we have no realtives in korea. as a broke college student, i opted for an affordable place.

» ah, of course. i am lin nari, 21 years old, chinese-korean, and i stopped growing at the age of 11. i was a tall child and everyone thought i was going to continue to grow. sadly, i stopped and i've basically been this height for 10 years.
if that lazy bum is telling you i am the source of the mess in our apartment, don't believe him. he's the messy one who doesn't clean after his own stuff. also as far as responsibilities go, i'm sure he tells you i don't do anything, but don't believe him on that either!
