i went on the net only to see a couple posts from the members(3, specifically) saying it's 501 day...and i was like...'but didn't SS501 debut in June or sth?'...

i guess....May=5, 1st=01 = 501 day?

idk....not like i followed the group too closely back then to know some official history of it....but hey, it's great that they're always proud of their group....many would be embarrassed once they tread the solo paths...but i guess they're rooted to the ground n know that it's their group reputation that brought them where they are today.

 

i'm proud to have known them too. many noob kpop fans don't know or care abt them/treat them as irrelevant but back in the days, they're the only group whose popularity actually rivaled dbsk's popularity(dbsk=the most popular thing back then,think exo if you can't imagine, though i think dbsk were bigger...) and the reason they started losing popularity was probly bcuz dsp shipped them to Japan as they're just getting great popularity, much like what happen with Kara n even Rainbow(dsp has talent for ruining the popularity-in-Korea they got so hard), but that aside, they're awesome n different than many groups in many ways. i think what made me respect them the most is how they treat n tell/educate their fans to be well mannered and know their priorities(dsp is somehow also awesome at producing groups with great personalities n manners n vocals/voices...excuse the biasedness...i think they taught their kids well, despite the lack of hypes like big3 would have). it's really reflected in the fans....i can't say about the newer ones(post-bof), but back then...all that i met were very nice, polite and matured, well mannered even when provoked by other nasty fandoms. this is why i do believe idol has an effect on how fans behave. (although many idols just let the fans be whatever...just bring us/our companies da moneyz)

although it might not be enough to cover everything....there are lots of links/videos...n their variety/reality shows are the best since they have crazy/hilarious personalities....although, it's not like i watch that many shows other than live perfs.

^ from their final concert/performance together as SS501 officially in 2010, before they went their own ways(they all have solo singer careers, some also act in addition) upon contract expiration...(although they still performed together, the only time all five members manage to gather so far i think was in 2013, Youngsaeng concert before his enlistment) they have many awesome ballads...but i'm just choosing the one i hardly post before this, for a change...

And now....guess what? there's another May group i want to celebrate albeit a lil early since they debuted like...late may? maybe it's cuz they disappeared before they could release more stuffs and change, i always remember them fondly for their ubercoolness and uniqueness as a girlgroup...i know i keep posting same stuffs from them all the time, but hey, it's not like there's many to be found...people always complaint about their style...but i find that's what makes them unique n different than other girlgroups besides the music too....it's annoying when ppl keep complaining that girlgroup styles are just cute/y/(there's hiphop-wannabe too actually)...but complaints when you got sth different...eh...

anyway, as usual...some of my fav perfs from them i'll never get tired of posting......
