Jaehyuk is born in Seoul on October 4th as the second child in the family. For as long as he can remember he has chased his older brother Junhyung around and did exactly what he did. He wanted to be by his brother's side 24/7 and while they were young Junhyung didn't mind Jaehyuk following him around. But as they got older, Junhyung pushed Jaehyuk away. Jaehyuk, who had gotten into rapping because of his brother, continued to have a passion for music, even without Junhyung around. He learned to play instruments and he also taught himself beatboxing.
While in CUBE, Jaehyuk focused on becoming a better rapper, and like his brother, he had a talent for composing songs and writing lyrics. At the time Jaehyuk joined CUBE, his brother took care of him whenever he could and helped him a lot, both with rapping and composing.
Jaehyuk was supposed to debut with BtoB in 2012 but was eventually cut. After that he was transferred to Synth where he has been a trainee since.
Jaehyuk was supposed to debut in BtoB but was cut last minute. He felt discouraged and for a while he wanted to give up on becoming an idol. But then one day when he was surfing the internet, he saw something about a newly established entertainment called Synth. He began to see the possibilities of transferring. He was a bit hesitant at first, and didn't really want to leave CUBE (one of the reasons being his brother). But then he thought it would probably be best to try something new and become his own person instead of staying in his brother's shadow. So after talking to the CEO he was eventually transferred to Synth where he worked harder than ever.
When Jaehyuk first came to CUBE he wanted to learn everything. He took guitar and piano lessons, he started learning English and he also tried dancing for the first time. But more than anything he focused on rap and composing. He now had the chance to learn from experts and he used that opportunity to the fullest. No one in CUBE (except for the Beast members) knew that Jaehyuk was Junhyung's brother, since they don't look that much alike and their names aren't similar like sibling names often are. The reason for that is that Junhyung changed his name in 6th grade and his birthname is Jaesoon, but not everyone knows that so they never considered the possibility that Jaehyuk and Junhyung could be brothers. Jaehyuk didn't mind since he didn't want to use his brother's name and Junhyung couldn't be bothered about what other's knew about his family.
Junhyung taught Jaehyuk a lot and they even wrote multiple songs together. Some of Junhyung's songs that made it to Beast albums, Jaehyuk actually helped compose.
Jaehyuk was thrilled when he was told that he most likely was going to debut and he started practicing with the other trainees who where gonna be in the same group. But in the last minute Jaehyuk was cut and eventually didn't debut. He was devasted and felt like giving up. But then he discovered Synth and ended up transferring there. He continued to improve and even though he still looked up to his brother, he felt for the first time that he wanted to become his own person, with his own style instead of trying to be like Junhyung.
Jaehyuk's mother is the opposite of the father. She's warm and caring so Jaehyuk always enjoyed being near her. She showered her family with love and warmth. Jaehyuk got a lot of support from his mother when he became a trainee and she helped him pull through when everything seemed hopeless. He wants to debut and make her proud.
Jaehyuk has always considered his brother as some kind of God and he always wanted to be just like Junhyung. No matter what Junhyung did, Jaehyuk would try to follow in his footsteps. Jaehyuk wants to get his brother's praise and Junhyung's opinion is more important than anyone else's. But after transferring to Synth, Jaehyuk has become more of his own person and is finding himself. He doesn't want to be exactly like his brother anymore, but Junhyung's praise and acknowledgement is still important to Jaehyuk.

Doojoon and Jaehyuk have a common interest for soccer and bonded over that. They will sometimes watch soccer together or play (often with Kikwang). Doojoon is a hyung that Jaehyuk respects a lot and even after he left CUBE, he kept contact with Doojoon and they still meet up to play soccer from time to time.
Even before they were both chosen to be in BtoB, they would hang out together. Ilhoon look up to Jaehyuk and it's the first time Jaehyuk has experienced that. That someone wants to learn from him like he himself wanted to learn from someone. Because of Ilhoon, Jaehyuk wants to work even harder so he won't disappoint. Jaehyuk cares a lot for Ilhoon and treats him like a younger brother while Ilhoon respects Jaehyuk a lot and often asks for advice (even though he's the sunbae).

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES »
Since Jaehyuk has always focused on rapping the most, that is his strength and he's confident in his rapping skills. He can rap fast but still has a clear pronunciation. He's not very good at freestyle and coming up with a rap on the spot.
His singing is quite lacking and he never really had singing lessons while he was in CUBE. But when he came to Synth he decided to get just a few lessons so he at least wasn't terrible. His voice is a little low so high notes are his worst enemy. Another one of his weaknesses is dancing. Even though he practices dancing a lot and doesn't have a problem learning and remembering choreography, it's obvious that he wasn't meant to dance. He doesn't completely at it, but it just doesn't look natural. But he likes dancing and his skills would be considered a little below average.
Because Jaehyuk is a good talker and he has humor, he's good in variety. He likes to entertain and isn't shy in front of the camera. He's willing to do what's asked of him, even if he has to make a fool out of himself.
Jaehyuk is considered good-looking, but not as handsome as some idols out there. He himself doesn't think he's visual material but he doesn't think he's ugly either. He's satisfied with his face.

Minhyuk is bright and outgoing, which means that a lot of people enjoy being around him. He's very friendly and likes to play around. But he's also mature and knows how to be responsible when needed. He's smart and eager to learn new things if it catches his attention. He's also very curious and likes what's different. He's very talkative and can be loud at times. He smiles a lot and his laughter is contagious. He's a very caring and warm person and he likes taking care of others.
On stage Minhyuk has a charismatic and y image, because he's a rapper, and he can pull it off. While off-stage he's down to earth and playful. He's also athletic and likes different kinds of sports. This means he's in great shape and has a hard time sitting still.
Love is something Minhyuk takes very serious and when he loves,he loves with everything he is. This also means he can get possessive when he's in love. He doesn't want the person to show interest in others and he wants the person all to himself. Their friends always joke around calling them a couple, because they often act like one. Talking on the phone for hours, a lot of skinship when they're together and bickering about ridiculous things. Even though Minhyuk is a year older, you don't really notice it, since they seem more like friends the same age. They also find a lot of support in each other and when one of them is stressed, the other one is the best cure. Jaehyuk can relax when he's with Minhyuk and it's the same for Minhyuk. They don't even need to talk when they meet up. They can just sit side by side, doing their own thing, because the other's presence is enough.
Minhyuk acts cute in front of Jaehyuk more than anyone else and Jaehyuk is defensless against Minhyuk's aegyo. You would often think that Jaehyuk is the older one because Minhyuk plays around a lot while Jaehyuk watches him with a warm smile on the sideline.
They're best friends and at first Jaehyuk didn't mind their friends joking about them being a couple. But somewhere along the way, that started to change. Jaehyuk started to change. He would react differently when their friends called them a couple and Minhyuk's skinship made him feel things he didn't feel before. He suspected what could be going on and that scared him. He kept a distance from Minhyuk while he dealt with the fact that he not only had changed uality, but also that he had fallen in love with his best friend.
While Jaehyuk was struggling with his feelings, Minhyuk felt a little lonely without his best friend around. The time they spent away from each other made Minhyuk think. Was he supposed to miss his best friend the way he did? Was he supposed to feel this way just because Jaehyuk said he needed some space? Was he supposed to think about him every waken hour? Was he supposed to want to hold Jaehyuk the way he did? Minhyuk started to realize that his thoughts about his best friend maybe weren't only friendly. He also imagined Jaehyuk with someone else and he began to feel possesive of Jaehyuk in a way he hadn't done before.
When Jaehyuk had accepted the fact that he was in love with his best friend and had decided to keep it a secret, while still seeing Minhyuk (because he didn't want to lose his best friend), Minhyuk had gone through the same thing and come to the same conclusion. So without knowing, the two boys are in love with each other but keeping it a secret because they don't want to lose their friendship.
FIRST MEETING/HISTORY»
When Jaehyuk had been in CUBE for a year, he started noticing Minhyuk. Since they're both rappers, Jaehyuk decided to talk to Minhyuk and after discovering that he also wrote lyrics, they began to hang out. They slowly grew closer and began to practice together and gave each other critique to improve. They were both very excited when it was announced that they were gonna debut in the same group, and they were equally disappointed when Jaehyuk ended up being cut. But Jaehyuk still supported Minhyuk a lot before and during BtoB's debut. But because Minhyuk was busy with BtoB promotions, he didn't notice that Jaehyuk had fallen into a slump and felt like giving up. They grew a bit apart during that time and Jaehyuk didn't tell Minhyuk that he wanted to change companies either. Minhyuk only found out after it was decided and they had a huge fight because of that. They didn't talk for a few month after Jaehyuk had joined Synth and Jaehyuk thought that they had lost their friendship. But then Minhyuk called him up and wanted to meet. They talked it through and agreed that it was a stupid thing to lose their friendship over and they started hanging out again whenever they had time. After that they were closer than ever and Minhyuk sincerely wishes for Jaehyuk to succeed and realize his dreams.
Jaehyuk tells Junhyung that he's gay and Junhyung is shocked but still accepts his brother.
Jaehyuk meets Bang Yongguk and turns into an awkward starstruck fanboy.
