ONE

Title: Literal
Fandom: BTOB and Red Velvet
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Word Count: 350

"Your name is stuck on my lips!" Joy exclaimed, making Sungjae smile in embarrassment. It was kind of a weird thing to say, but they had been together on the We Got Married show for a while now. He had to suppose that maybe she was finally feeling the same attraction that he was.

She was pretty and smart and funny, all of the things he typically looked for in a girl. He was positive that she didn't like him in return, except as a friend and someone to film the show with, but it seemed that she was falling for him the same way that he was for her.

Even if she did have a strange way of saying it.

They were currently getting ready to film a segment of the reality show, the wind blowing around them and mussing their hair. He was standing in front of her in an attempt to shield her from the worst of it, and as such hadn't been able to see her face as she made the confession.

Clearing his throat, he shook his head slowly. "You know, I thought you didn't like me like that," he began, and picked up steam as he went. "But in all honestly I really like you. I think you're clever and beautiful, and you're a lot of fun to be around. And I was kind of wondering if..." he turned toward her, fully intending to ask her to go on a date with him, not a reality-show-induced one, but a real one, and he realized what an idiot he'd been.

She literally had his name tag stuck on her lips, the piece of paper clinging to her red lipstick.

Her eyes were wide in shock at his confession, and his face flushed as he tried to backpedal and salvage their friendship. "It was a joke!" he claimed, waving his hands as he reached out to pull the nametag off of her lips.

She gave him a shy smile as he crushed the piece of paper in hand, and softly said, "Does it have to be?"

TWO

Title: Krystal
Fandom: F(X)
Rating: pg
Warnings: None
Word Count: 350

“Krystal? Can I have this dance?”

He called her out, a smile resting on his face as he reached his hand out, so he could take her to the dance floor.

A very romantic slow song was playing, and there was a glint of happiness in Krystal’s eyes. She had been waiting for that moment for too long. Ignoring her giggling friends, she got up from her chair and took his hand, smiling back at his handsome face.

The two had flirted back and forth for weeks, and Krystal hoped that when the school dance came, they would finally be together. As they danced, stepping together to the music, she felt like nothing could be better than that.

“You know,”

She started talking, making him lean his head closer to hear her over the music.

“I really like it when you say my name.”

She felt her cheeks flush red, and hoped that the make-up she was wearing would cover that. It was a bold line to say, but she wanted to share how she felt at that moment.

“Oh really, Krystal? What a nice thing to say, Krystal.”

As he , trying to call her name as much as he could, she couldn’t help but giggle, as every time he did, she felt small butterflies fly up her stomach.

“Guess what?”

He then said, slowing down their steps until they were only swaying gently. He leaned in incredibly close – causing both of their hearts to beat fast – and touched his forehead to hers.

“I really like saying your name too. I feel like it’s stuck to my lips sometimes.”

He smiled.

She was at cloud nine, and decided to push away any shyness she was feeling, as a bold phrase crossed her mind, and she didn’t hesitate to say it out loud.

“Well, that’s great. But I guess we got to make sure it’s really going to stay there, don’t you think?”

She said, leaning closer – if that was even possible – and then she could see his smile one last time, before finally connecting their already close lips.

THREE

Title: Blue Skies after the Rain
Fandom: CN Blue and f(x)
Rating: PG
Warnings: none
Word Count: 350

It’s raining heavily by the time Soojung steps outside. The skies are already dark overhead, and the streets are crowded from rush hour traffic.

Yiyun’s motorcycle is parked by the door. Soojung grabs the umbrella from the compartment under the seat, knowing that Yiyun wouldn’t leave for another few hours.

The door to the coffee shop suddenly opens, and Soojung’s nearly knocked off balance. The hand at her elbow barely stops her from falling. “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” Soojung lowers her umbrella, looking up with a smile.

She recognizes him as the customer who always sits at the table by the window in the evening, a laptop open before him. He always orders chocolate chip cookies, something that Yiyun always complains about (“This is a coffee shop, not a bakery”). Soojung remembers him by his bright smiles whenever she delivers his orders as he looks up from his screen to thank her.

“Do you need an umbrella?” Soojung asks, when he just stands there, staring at the rain. The blast of the horn from a nearby car isn’t loud enough to drown out the sound of her heartbeat when he turns to look at her.

“Don’t you need it?”

Soojung laughs as she closes the umbrella. It’s small, meant for only one person, and wouldn’t be much of a cover from the rain. “This isn’t mine.” She puts the umbrella back on the motorcycle. “Where are you going?”

“Across the street.” He points at the subway station on the other side of the road.

“Me too.”

She’s surprised when he takes her hand and starts running. There’s not enough time to ask for explanations as they cross the road. Soojung is dimly aware of the cars and motorcycles around them, can barely seem them in the relentless downpour. The hand in her own is the only thing that keeps her steady until they’ve made it to the other side.

“My name’s Minhyuk,” he says, when they’re under the roof of the subway station, away from the rain. “Kang Minhyuk.”

“I’m Soojung.” She laughs, still a little breathless. “Jung Soojung.”

FOUR

Title: Bang
Fandom: BTS
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: N/A
Word Count: 350

The room they were in was dark and the TV flickered and illuminated their faces white...yellow...blue. A romantic comedy played, but it was on mute and neither men paid much attention. Out of the corner of Taehyung's eye, he saw the oh so obvious to-be couple giggle silently. They extended their hands towards each other shyly and bit by bit, entwined their fingers. They were like puzzle pieces falling into place.

Oh how he wished reality could be like that.

"Hoseok," Taehyung whispered and the man next to him grunted in reply, half asleep. "Hoseok."

The other man cracked open an eye. "Wha?"

Taehyung's fingers trailed down the latter's bare arm. When it reached his hand, he mimicked the couple, folding his fingers between the other man's. They were warm. Taehyung smiled. "I love you, Hoseok. I love you a lot."

They stayed like that for a moment before Taehyung's hand was gently pried off. A sigh accompanied it. "It has been seven months, Tae," the other man said. "I know you know. You're not stupid nor are you insane. Please, Tae."

BANG. The sound rang in Taehyung's ears. He looked around. The TV was still muted. No one had moved and yet...

"Ho... seok?" Taehyung's eyebrows drew together in confusion and this elicited another sigh. The couple on the screen were making out now. Taehyung sensed something was amiss but still, he grabbed the other man's face. Pulled it closer.

"Stop it. My name is Namjoon, Tae. Namjoon." Namjoon wounded his arm around Taehyung's shoulders. There was a bitter look on his face. "Hoseok—"

"I love Hoseok!"

Something within Namjoon broke.

"I know you did, Tae. But he's long gone. Long gone!" Namjoon was livid. His hands gripped Taehyung's wrists like iron chains and a dry laugh escaped his throat. "Bastard was always such a coward when he was alive, I honestly wonder where he got the courage to put a gun to his head."

BANG, Taehyung thought.

That was how his world fell apart, pierced by a single bullet. It had all happened so fast.

Bang.

BONUS

Title: The Word that Connects Me to You
Fandom: Seventeen
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Word Count: 350

When Jeonghan wakes up on his eighteenth birthday, the first thing he does is scan his own body, searching for a mark, even a tiny one, that would tell him who he would be happiest spending the rest of his life with. A "soulmate," some people like to call it. "Fate," was another common word, and though Jeonghan was skeptical, he couldn't help but want.

No one knows how the system works, just that some people are bound together so intricately that fate (if you will) allows them to have a happy ending. In a world like theirs, happy endings are all people can dream of. For some, all they are are dreams.

Jeonghan almost gives up, until he raises his arms and sees, along the curve from his shoulder to underneath his arms, a name. Or at least what he assumes is a name, seemingly etched in with ink that doesn't fade or come off no matter how hard Jeonghan presses down while tracing the lines of the name of the person he is destined to be with.

There's only one problem, then: it's in Chinese, a language he can't read, much less speak.

Jeonghan lets his arm drop. He doesn't believe in fate anyway.

On a sweltering summer day, Jeonghan runs into another man - literally. Jeonghan remains standing, but the other is on the ground, a book lying open beside him. Apologizing profusely, Jeonghan offers the stranger a hand, then bends down to pick up the book as the other dusts off his pants.

"Oh, are you learning Korean?" It's just small talk, a small nicety before parting ways, but Jeonghan wonders if he said something wrong when he notices the other's stare. "Is something wrong?"

Blinking, the foreigner shakes his head, a smile slowly starting to stretch across his face. "My name is Wen Junhui," is all he says. Jeonghan nods, unsure of the reasoning behind the introduction, but then Junhui turns his arm upward.

Yoon Jeonghan is written across his arm in neat Hangul.

Jeonghan thinks that maybe he could learn to believe in fate.
