If you think your life is hard, think again. At the age of five, Kim Jaejoong lost both his parents in a freak accident. Supposedly, the family of four were about to go on a trip to Hokkaido, but their parents didn't make it. Being the older one, he had to take care of his younger brother, Junsu who was two years younger. As he was only five then, he wasn't able to analyze the situation very well. Whenever he asked his grandparents, who took them in after their parents were gone, "Where did Papa and Mama go?, they would always reply, "They're in a place far far away... They're happy there. If they are happy, you're happy too right, Jaejoongie?" So when Junsu asks him where did their parents go, Jaejoong would always tell him that they are in a place far far away, and they won't return anymore. Jaejoong had to hug his brother to sleep after that. At the age of 10, Jaejoong helped his grandfather, who owned a laundry shop then to deliver the washed clothes to their neighbours. Grandpa had trained Jaejoong to be independent and not rely on others. "There is no one you can rely on other than yourself," He said. His grandmother, who worked as a neighborhood make-up artist allowed him to stand by her side to observe her whenever she had a customer and that was when Jaejoong developed a interest in make-up. There's nothing wrong with a boy liking make up, right? Male make-up artists was the 'in' too back then. As soon as Jaejoong turned 15, to help with home expenses, he started working at a fast-food restaurant that was near to where he was staying, he was still studying then. That same year, Jaejoong overheard his grandparents talking about how they don't have enough money to let both Jaejoong and Junsu continue with their studies anymore. Instead of just walking away and acting like he overhear the conversation, Jaejoong walked into the room and told his grandparents that it was okay if he doesn't complete his education, but Junsu had to. He also told them to not worry,  as he will take up as many jobs as it takes to make sure Junsu can still continue schooling. When Jaejoong's 19th birthday was nearing, his grandmother slipped in the shower and when she was sent to the hospital, the doctor could only say, "Sorry, we did our best." His grandfather followed suit three months after his grandmother's death. His grandfather had loved his grandmother dearly. Now at the tender age of twenty-one, Jaejoong is working hard to make sure he has enough to pay for the house, Junsu's education, and home expenses. He decided too, to pursue his interest in cosmetics. He won't give up without even trying. He had confidence in himself.

"Good morning," Jaejoong tensed up when the lady at the desk looked up at him with a look of disapproval. He must have interrupted her from doing her work. "Sorry to interrupt, but is this where I can submit my trainee application form?" He remained polite, having the slip of paper in his hand. The lady took the paper from Jaejoong, and placed it into a rack full of other applicant's forms, telling Jaejoong that they will contact him in two or three working days once his application is accepted. Jaejoong retreated from the desk and sighed, I hope I'll be accepted... I really want this. "Hey!" He heard the lady's voice. Is she calling me? "Hey you, you're heading out of the company right?" Jaejoong nodded yes. "Then can you help me with chucking these out? The bin we have here is full already." She held up a big box of waste paper, and Jaejoong couldn't say no. He took the box from her and carried the weight and he found himself sweating, walking towards the exit. I can do this! Was what his mind told him, but his hands gave way and the box was dropped, contents scattered around on the clean marble floor. Jaejoong winced, bending down to pick up the pieces of paper, and was reaching out to a further one when his eyes met a black polished Oxford shoe, who's owner then bent down to help Jaejoong pick up that piece of paper that was near his foot. "Here," the man said. Jaejoong looked up, and saw the man's face. The man was good-looking and had a defined jawline, his eyes were in the shape of almond and hair was combed back. The tell-tale sign was his formal dressing, it signified that he was from the company. Sorry!" Jaejoong said immediately. The man who heard him chuckled, "No need to be, it's okay. Just be careful next time." He then stood up from his bending position and walked away, with Jaejoong's eyes followi
