NetFlix I'm Not
The Cliff Anonymous (An Author's Mean Confession)NetFlix I'm Not
I acknowledge that I am not NetFlix.
Readers subscribe. Then they unsubscribe.
Because the story is completed.
They don't like the flow in the middle.
They lost interest. They find another story much worth of their attention.
Too much new characters. Too much characters die.
Story too simple. Story too complicated.
Chapters too long. Chapters too short.
Too much description, story's been given away.
No description, can't see where the story is heading.
Story makes too much sense. Story doesn't make any sense.
Too dramatic. Too funny.
They simply lurk.
They just want to annoy you and see how you'd react if you see your story's subscribers number go up then down. WI-A-RAE! You ain't EXID.
I know it's a reader's right. It's an option.
But it just annoys the hell out of me to see that subscriber number go down!!!
You worked on your chapter all night. You started growing black mochi balls under your eyes, and for that reader, it's worth only a click of the unsubscribe button.
No. Unsubscribing is not bad.
But I am just annoyed by that.
And then, after a few months...they subscribe again.
I wish there's a block option in the story so I can prevent you from seeing even a portion of it again.
My story may not be good, but I know my story's worth.
I have a part of me in that story. You are basically trampling on that part of me - a part you think not worthy of subscription, and worthy of unsubscription.
And I know it's worthy enough for your kind not to ever step on it again.
I'm gonna hunt you down, witch.
There. I got the first rant off of my chest.
I can take a breath a little now.
