My mind was filled with a lot of thoughts. My grandmother and Tiffany knew each other? How? And what about grandpa? This is so confusing. My serious thoughts were interrupted when I heard somebody speaks.

 

 

 

 

 

“U-Unnie?” my grandmother said to Tiffany awkwardly

 

 

 

We bursted out into laughter

 

 

 

“Oh My Gosh, grandmom! Hahaha...” I said as I continued to laughed. Hyoyeon seems to laugh with me too

 

 

 

“Grandmother, I know you want to stay young...but calling the young girl unnie is too much!” Hoyoyeon laughed but still clueless about what's really happening

 

 

 

“Victoria...” Tiffany stared at my grandmom 

 

 

 

“U-Unnie...H-How?” My grandmother asked in wonder

 

 

 

“Please don't call me that...” Tiffany said seriously

 

 

 

 

Grandmom just bowed down her head

 

 

 

 

 

“T-Taeyeon is your granddaughter?” Tiffany asked

 

 

 

“Y-Yes...”

 

 

 

“So I see, Your marriage to Nichkhun was pushed...” Tiffany said in a flat tone

 

 

 

“I'm sorry...Can we talk unnie? Just us...”

 

 

 

“Can Taeyeon come too? She's the one who found me.” Tiffany said

 

 

 

 

Hyoyeon and I stared blankly at them

 

 

 

 

“Hyoyeon, Is it okay?” grandmother asked Hyoyeon

 

 

 

 

“Oh sure grandma, I'll get our luggage on the counter.” Hyoyeon smiled and didn't pry

 

 

 

 

“Okay, we'll just be onthe coffee shop for few minutes...” Grandma said

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We went to the coffee shop and talk. My grandmother and Tiffany were staring at each other face to face as they sat in front of each other while me, I am stuck in the middle of this awkward atmosphere.

 

 

 

 

“So...What's there to talk about?” Tiffany asked and sipped her coffee

 

 

 

 

“Tiffany...I'm sorry for what happened before. I didn't mean to hurt you.” my grandmom said sincerely

 

 

 

“Hmmm...we won't be able to change anything so what can I do?” Tiffany shrugged

 

 

 

“You look the same unnie... You disappeared for years. We thought you eloped with Taec...” my grandma's words was cut by Tiffany

 

 

 

 

 

“I didn't...After that party on my last day on Korea, I do not know what happened to me. The last thing I remember is that Nick gave me a drink and all after that was blank...I just woke up one night, everything is so different. I missed out the time of my life...my friends, my family...Don't you know how painful it is? It's all because of you! If Nick and you hadn't lied to me, I wouldn’t leave him and he wouldn't make me drink that potion that took away my life from me...” Tiffany started to cry

 

 

 

 

“I’m sorry unnie... I know I hurt you so much.” Grandmother wipes the tears on Tiffany's eyes

 

 

 

“I-I'm sorry for scapegoating...I-I just don't know what to do right now...” Tiffany apologized to my grandmom

 

 

 

“Uhm...grandma? Pany? Mind to explain what's happening?” I broke their moment for a while

 

 

 

“Taeyeon, my child...I assume you found Tiffany on your grandpa's secret room?”

 

 

 

“Yes grandmother. How did you know?” I asked

 

 

 

“Because I saw Tiffany unnie before in that secret room when I followed your grandpa one night... That's why I filed a divorce paper to him. I cannot bare what he did to Tiffany. We were married for years already so he's been keeping this secret for a long time already... He confessed to me what he did.” Grandmother said

 

 

 

“So you know I was there?” Tiffany asked

 

 

 

“Yes, I told Nick to stop what he's doing and wake you up. But he said he can't...”

 

 

 

“What did he told you?”

 

 

 

“He told me he was tricked by a sorcerer...”

 

 

 

 

 

FLASHBACK 

 

 

 

Tiffany, Nichkhun and I were friends ever since childhood. Nichkhun and I lived in America for years but have to go back to Korea because of our parent's businesses. Tiffany remained in America to pursue her dreams of becoming a vaudeville top star. Nichkhun and Tiffany never lose in touch with one another. They've been sending each other some telegrams and making long distance phone call to each other even though it's quite expensive on that time. 

 

 

 

 

In 1935, Tiffany was 20 when she decided to join vaudeville. At that point of time, vaudeville already was losing it's appeal to the masses because of the silver screen, but nevertheless, some finest hollywood stars appeared on vaudeville on its declining years like Judy Garland, Cary Grant, Abbott and Costello and a lot more. Vaudeville was the stepping stone for everyone who wanted to make it to the movie scene.

 

 

 

Tiffany was joined by her younger sister, Jessica. Jessica was 4 when she decided she wanted to dance in vaudeville too because she wanted to become like Shirley Temple. When the world was at war, America was watching Shirley Temple movies...

 

 

 

Tiffany and Jessica tried their luck and audition in vaudeville. They succeeded and became The dancing duo of Vaudeville. They had a lot of shows all over the states of America. Sometimes, Nick and I travelled all the way from Korea to America just to watch some of their shows.

 

 

 

We watched their show in New York, Tiffany was selected as the lead in a vaudeville play “Girl Crazy”. She was paired with a tall handsome man with a chinky eyes. Jessica and Tiffany was given some dance number on the play.. They tapped amazingly as we watched the stage.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Whooo, SShiiicaa baby...You look so swell!” a young kid beside me around Jessica's age cheered for Jessica

 

 

 

All audience laughed because of the kid's fighting spirit

 

 

 

Her name is Kwon Yuri, she's a friend of Jessica. The two of them were always together. I guess this kid was always present around their shows.

 

 

 

After the show, Nick and I went backstage along with the kid a while ago. Nick brought some flowers to Tiffany.

 

 

 

 

“My oh my, you did swell Tiff!” Nichkhun said as he hugged Tiffany

 

 

 

“Thanks Khun, I was so nervous that I didn't do well but hearing those words from you, I appreciate it very much” Tiffany smiled at him

 

 

 

Tiffany and Nichkhun were in a relationship and I knew it. It hurts to see them like this because I love Nichkhun oppa but he only see me as his little sister because I'm five years younger than him.

 

 

“Hello Victoria unnie!” A four year old Jessica greeted me

 

 

“Hello Sica, I have a surprise for you!” I carried Yuri to show her to Jessica who's been hiding on my back a while ago

 

 

 

“Why are you hiding from me Yul?” Jessica smiled, she's missing her front tooth. Nonetheless, she's cute.

 

 

 

“I-I'm shy SShiiiicaaa....” Yuri said as she buried her face on my neck

 

 

 

“Eh? What shy are you talking about kid? You were saying like Whooo, SShiiicaa baby...You look so swell! A while ago...” I teased the kid who blushed so hard, I kissed her right cheek and put her down

 

 

 

Jessica come closer to her and kissed her left cheek.

 

 

 

“Thanks Yul!” she said as she grinned while Yuri blushed harder

 

 

 

 

 

As years goes by, Tiffany and Jessica made a name on vaudeville but since vaudeville was already o
