We walk around the park , your arm casually slung across my shoulder.

We talk about all the little things in our life;

And you look at me with those piercing eyes of yours.

You look at me.

Like I'm the only person in the world.

Like I'm the only one that matters.

But we both know that's not true.

Because I'm not what you want.

I'm not right for you.

Your forehead creases as I don't reply to your question.

You ask me what's wrong, I laugh and brush off your worry, lying; saying that I'm just tired.

And you beam at me.

You look so beautiful that it hurts my heart.

You continue talking about that girl you're dating and I look at you with longing in my eyes.

I gave you everything.

You gave me nothing.

But that doesn't matter.

What matters is that you're happy.

And I love you too much to ruin that.
