Sunny's POV

 

 

 

 

 

After what happened that night, I decided to distant myself to Sooyoung and not to come back on the sky temporarily. My mind is so confused about what's happening and what am I feeling. I need to sort things out. I know I am here on Earth not to fall in love but to fulfill my mission, but how can I solve this love problem if I myself have one?. 

 

 

 

 

 

I am the cupid but the real thing is, I never experience, know and felt love myself so feeling this way is so hard to deal with. I can’t love a mortal, because if I do, I have to give up my wings and forget about my duty on the sky and live on Earth as a mortal. I'll have to experience pain and suffering like humans do. Am I prepared to sacrifice all the things I have for love? And if I do, will Sooyoung ever love me back? But she's already committed with her destined mate! It's really complicated. I feel like I'm playing with love balance like Yoona. I now understand why she is ambiguous in terms of love, because love itself cannot be understand in anyway.

 

 

I was sitted on the park bench, staring at the river in front of me as I think when someone called me.

 

 

 

 

“Sunny?”

 

 

I looked at the girl who called me, it was Yoona.

 

 

“Oh, it's you.” 

 

“Thank God, I found you here. I've been looking for you everywhere!”

 

 

She sat beside me, I looked at her and asked a question

 

 

“Why are you looking for me?”

 

 

“Well, it's about Seohyun.” 

 

“What about her?” 

 

 

 

Maybe she discovered her feelings and started to regret things. 

 

 

 

“I want to take her back. Please help me” 

 

 

“Why are you toying with love Yoona?” I asked her directly

 

“W-What?” she was surprised

 

 

“Do you have feelings for her?”

 

“I-I think so...”

 

 

“What is love Yoona?” 

 

 

“Love is...a feeling?” 

 

 

 

She doesn't know what's love just like me.

 

 

 

“Do you really want her to be under the influence of potion again?”

 

 

She nodded

 

 

“She doesn't really like you Yoona, do you think controlling her like this is the best way to love her?”

 

 

“L-Love? I don't know...I just want her around me. I couldn't take to see her with another person” 

 

 

 

Yoona looked down sadly. 

 

 

 

“Tell me Yoona, does love has to be selfish or selfless?” I asked in wonder to know her insights about love, to enlighten myself and her at the same time.

 

 

 

“If doing things like this will make the one I love mine, I think it's justifiable. Besides, I won't hurt the one I love, I'll protect and keep that person with me forever.” Yoona said honestly

 

 

 

 

Seeing what you're doing right now, you are already hurting her. But who am I to judge her ways of love? One day, Yoona will realized that love is never selfish, boastful and decietful. 

 

 

 

 

“Well, if you want her back you have to hurt her” 

 

 

“What do you mean?” she asked me curiously

 

 

 

“Punch her.”

 

 

 

 

I stood up and left her

 

 

 

“Hey! Is that a joke?” she shouted as I walked away

 

 

“I already told you, now it's your choice to do or not to do it!” 

 

 

 

 

And I hope you choose wisely Yoona, otherwise love will be painful and complicated. Now, what's left for me to do? How can I sort out my own heart? I was walking around until I stopped on the familiar ice cream store. I saw Sooyoung through the glass. She smiled at me and she went out the store to greet me. I decided to ignore her and just walk away even though my heart is hurting.

 

 

 

“Sunny, wait!” she ran towards me and hugged me from my back

 

 

 

“O-Oh, Youngie...” I tapped her hands but still not facing her. I want to stay like this and feel her warmth and security but it's wrong because she’s not mine.

 

 

 

“Sunny...I-I'm sorry” she said as she cried

 

 

“W-Why? There's nothing to be sorry about.” I faked a laugh

 

 

“Sunny, I can feel it... I know you feel it too.” she said

 

 

 

I faced her curiously

 

 

“What are you talking about?”

 

“Sunny, I broke up with Yuri...” she said as she looked down

 

“Why?” I looked at her

 

 

 

“Because I fell in love with you the first time I met you...” 

 

 

 

 

I looked into her eyes. The eyes are the window of soul of a person. She's telling the truth

 

 

 

“I do too...but we can't fall in love” I told her

 

“Why?”

 

 

 

“Because I'm not sure if I'm ready to give up all I have for you, you know you might change your mind later on and leave me.”

 

 

“Then, let me prove myself to you...”

 

 

 

I looked at her, she looks cute when she's serious.

 

 

“How?” I asked

 

 

“Let's date.” she smiled at me sweetly

 

 

 

 

Now that she's out of relationship, maybe I can give this love a chance to see if this love is really worth it. Sooyoung had been honest with me, she told me that Yuri wants her back but she assured me that it's me whom she loves and I'm contented with it. We've been dating for weeks now. In every day that pass us by, it makes me discover a lot of things on her and make me fall for her even more. 

 

 

 

While we’re walking towards her house from our date, she held my hand and asked me once where I came from, I pointed the sky and she laughed at me.

 

 

 

“Sunny my angel!” she teased me as she laughed

 

“Well, it's true!” I said truthfully

 

 

 

“Alright, God sent my Sunny to me so that poor Sooyoung will have some company instead of food!” she said cutely

 

 

 

“Youngie, you're a cute giant baby!” I messed her hair and giggled

 

 

 

 

 

 

“It's alright if you won't tell me. I don't care where you came from or who you are in the past. I will still love you the same way as I do right now.I'll do anything for you Sunny. I will work and study hard for our future. I will cook for you when you’re hungry. I'll give you sweaters and hug you when you are cold. I will take care of you when you are sick. I'll keep you company when you are lonely.I'll protect you in any harm and keep you shèltered in my arms when yôu’rè scared. It's the first time I ever felt this wày. Yes, I might have been in love before but this love we have rîght now is strong. This love is ours.” Sooyoung said as she touch my cheeks

 

 

 

 

 

 

I can't help but to cry with what she said, I feel so special and touched. I know the answer now, my heart is ready.

 

 

 

 

“I love you Youngie, and I'm willing to give up everything for you.” I said to her and hugged her

 

 

 

 

 

 

We both cried that night, not because of pain and sorrow but because of joy and happiness that love brought to us. I know now what is love, it is selfless and unpredictable. I am willing to take risks. I made a decision. After that night, I decided to fly towards the sky and meet the Head Archangel along with other angels.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“I'm giving up my wings...”

 

 

 

“Sunny, are you crazy? Who will shoot the arrows without you? Love will be imbalance and disorganized!” The Angel of Wisdom opposed

 

 

 

 

“Hyoyeon can do it. I'm no better cupid. When I shot those arrows, I do not know what love is. I discovered that love is naturally crazy, unpredictable and stupid. Hyoyeon will be a good cupid. She's crazy, unpredictable and stupid just like love. Love should not be bounded by rules and destiny. Love naturally flows like water. It's a strong force that only almighty God can understand.” I explained

 

 

 

 

“I don't know if I should be flattered with that statement but thank you.” Hyoyeon said as she scratched her head

 

 

 

“Please, Head of Angels, understand me and let me give up my wings. I promise I will still help the people on Earth by spreading words of love and kindness to them.” I looked at Minho who's been thinking 

 

 

 

“Sunny, if you became mortal you know the consequence right? You'll get hungry, thirsty, get sick, experience pain, challenges and other kind of feelings. You'll no longer be immortal and you'll lose your memory.” Minho said worriedly

 

 

 

 

“I know.”

 

 

 

“You know and you still accept it?”

 

 

“I do”

 

 

“Well, let me think about this first cupid. I have to think this over and consult this matter to Siwon The Prophet.” 

 

 

 

I hope Siwon The Prophet will approve this. 

 

 

 

“Thank you Minho.” I bowed to him and flew back to  Earth

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica's POV

 

 

 

 

“This is too much! I won't let Sunny give up her wings just because of a mortal. I'll get her back!” I said to Minho

 

 

This is insane! Hyoyeon can't even shoot the arrows well!

 

 

 

“But she already decided, this is hard...” Minho said

 

 

 

“I'll fix this mess Minho, I promise.”

 

 

 

 

 

Sunny's totaly blinded by the love arrow. This is why cupid must not feel love, because they'll be foolish lovestruck like mortals. Angels must be knowledgeable and full of wisdom. Most importantly, cupid must shoot the arrows well to shoot all the people in the list of destined match.

 

 

 

 

I flew back to Earth and went directly to Yuri's house. This is the only way to retrieved the cupid. For Yuri to get back her girlfriend and break cupid's heart. I knocked on Yuri's door.

 

 

 

 

“Gosh, it's 4:30am...who are you?!” she opened the door and I greeted her as I entered her house automatically

 

 

“Good morning to you too!” I went to her kitchen and pick some apple on her fruit basket

 

 

“Yah! It's you again. Why do you keep on messing up my life?!” Yuri said annoyed

 

 

 

Excuse me, I'm helping you to make it straight! Besides, you should thank me. Your hair looks cooler right now.” I took a bite on the apple as I slumped myself on her couch and put my legs on her coffee table

 

 

 

 

She took the apple away from me and removed my feet on the table

 

 

 

“Yeah, it's cool but Sooyoung still doesn't want me! Gee, why am I listening to you anyway?”
