Misdiagnosed

It's 7am, and I am inside of the school dorm. My head hurts so badly. I feel so dizzy and sick all of a sudden. I was still on my bed when I winced in pain. My dorm mate Sunny came in my room to wake me up for school like she always used to.

"Taeyeon, get up and get ready for school. We are almost running late!" Sunny said to me as she slapped my cheeks

"Hmmm... 5 more minutes" I said as I still felt my head like breaking

"Taeyeon, are you alright?" she asked me as she put her hands on my forehead

"I don't feel so good today; I think I'm skipping class." I said as I put my hands on my head

"Why don't you go to the doctor to have some check up? You've been complaining about your head for a week now." she suggested

"I don't like hospitals." I said

"Whether you like it or not, you'll go to the hospital. I'll come with you." she said

"What? You'll ditch school because of me?" I asked

"No, Sooyoung and I have a date later." she said as she grinned

"To think that you actually cared for me." I put my hands in my heart and act like hurting

"Well I cared for you alright, that's why I dumped you when you profess your love to me way back in high school. I want to save succeeding generation’s height." she said as she merong at me

"Eeeew, don't remind me of that!" I grimaced at the past memories that came to my mind

"Stand up there now, don't make me drag you to the hospital." she warned me

We went to the hospital; a beautiful nurse assisted us before going inside the doctor's clinic.

"Hello, I am Jessica Jung. What is the patient's name?" she asked

"Kim Taeyeon" I said

"How do you feel?" she asked as she fills up the form

"My head hurts for a week now." I said

"Okay, wait here for a while." she said as she went inside the clinic

I saw an old man went out to the clinic that means I am the next patient in line.

"You may enter now Miss Kim and friend." Jessica said

We went inside the clinic; I saw a name plate on the doctor's table "Dr. Kwon Yuri". A lady in white approached me. I think that's her. She's holding my form and read it.

"Miss Kim Taeyeon, you've been experiencing head ache for a week now?" she asked

"Yes doctor, I feel like my head is breaking apart." I told her

"Are you feeling it right now?" Dr.Kwon asked as she touched my forehead

I blushed because of the physical contact. Why, the doctor is beautiful! There are so many beautiful people in the hospital today!

"I suggest you do a CT scan." she said

After that Sunny accompanied me to the CT scan room. I have my CT scan done and we waited for the result for about half an hour. I saw the old man I have seen a while ago. He's waiting for his result as well. He entered first in doctor's clinic to have his result. When he's finished, the nurse asked me to enter the clinic again.

I noticed that the doctor is looking at the CT scan. She looks unhappy with the result.

"Miss Kim, do you want to hear your result?" the doctor asked

"Doctor, what kind of question is that?" Sunny said

"Why, what's the matter doctor?" I asked curiously

She sighed heavily and announced me the news

"You have a brain cancer Miss Kim. A brain tumor..." the doctor said to me

"WHAT?!?" Sunny and I said in sync

"I'm sorry Miss Kim." she said

I was so shock, I can't die yet... I haven't finish school, haven't got a boyfriend and haven't achieved my life goals. How could this happen to me?!?

"Doctor...when will I die?" I asked

"Usually, patients who have brain tumor last up to six months span only but looking at the state of your tumor, I can say 3 months for you." the doctor said

"Taeyeon, why did you leave me?!?" Sunny hugged me as she cried hard

"Sunny, I'm still alive!" I said to her

"But you'll die sooner, I'm just practicing!" Sunny said as she continued to cry

I cried harder as a result, the doctor cried with us too.

We went home. I told Sunny to go on her date to Sooyoung for I wanted to be alone for a while.

 I went to the river near the park to get some fresh air.

"My...what beautiful scenery..." I said as I inhaled the air

"Too bad, my time in seeing you is so limited..." I started to tear up

"Well, if I am going to die in three months, why just make it now? I'll die anyway..." I said as I stepped on the edge of the rail

I was about to jump when I felt someone's presence...I looked at my back. A girl is sitting on a park bench, staring at me while holding booze.

"You're going to jump right? Go on, don't mind me. I'm just watching the free show." the girl with beautiful eyes said as she drank her booze

WHAT?!? SHE'S ENCOURAGING ME TO JUMP???

"Don't you think it's too early to drink?" I asked

"Well, it's too early to jump on the river too you know. Somebody will see you and save you. Try night time." she said as she gives me thumbs up

I went to the bench she was sited at and sit there too.

"I'm going to die in 3 months anyway..."I said

"Oh, Why?" she asked

"I have brain cancer." I said to her

She pulled out a pack of cigarette in her pocket and offered one to me.

"Cigarette?" she asked

"Don't smoke. That's bad for your health." I said

"What a fun killer...You're lucky you're dying." she chuckled as she lighted up the cigarette on

"How could you say such a thing, you're lucky you can still live your life for a long time!" I said as I get the cigarette from and step on it on the ground

"Aaaa, fine. You don't smoke. I supposed you don't drink too?" she said as she drinks her booze

"No, don't drink. That's bad for your liver." I said as I stole the bottle from her and stared on the river in front of us

"You said you're dying, but why you still live your life on a tight control? Do everything you want to do! Got to parties, have fun, drink and kiss a stranger!" she said as she get the bottle from me and she chuckled again

"You're drunk. You know, I'll do anything to extend my life. Too bad, I'm dying without having to date with anyone" I said sadly

"Seriously? Hahaha... That's unfortunate." she laughed a bit

"Why don't you do something in your life instead of drinking here early in the morning in the park?" I told her

"Oh, nobody wants me around anyway." she said as she hiccup

"Don't you have your parents?" I asked her

"They kicked me out and disowned me." she said as she hiccup again

"Oh, what's your name?" I asked her

"Booze." she said drunkly

"I'm asking for your name not what are you drinking." I said

"Tiffany Hwang wang wang wang..." she said as she started to imitate the ambulance sound

"I am Kim Taeyeon." I said

"What? Kim Taengoo? What kind of name is that?!?" Tiffany said as she laughed out loud

"Taeyeon not Taengoo..." I corrected her

"Taengoo...Cheers!" she said as she grinned and raised her booze

I rolled my eyes and ignored her, she pinched my cheeks

"You're cute." Tiffany said to me and kissed my cheeks

I blushed

I was about to say thank you but I felt something heavy that hits my shoulders. She's sleeping already. What am I going to do? I tried to stand up and leave her on the bench but my conscience and my feet dragged me back to her. I carried her on my back and went to my school dorm since I do not know her address.

When I arrived on the dorm, my apartment is locked, Sunny hasn't arrived yet. I struggled to get my key card on my pocket since Tiffany is so heavy. I put her on my bed and let her sleep there. She's still holding her empty bottle of booze and hugged it tight like a bear.

"Stupid...stupid..." she mumbled on her sleep

I sat beside her, I looked at her face closely... She looks really beautiful like an angel fallen from the sky. Too bad, she's that drunkard on the park. She looks tired so I just watched her sleep and I became sleepy myself too. I was disturbed in my sleep when someone barged in my door.

"Taeyeon, you can't die yet!" said Sooyoung as she opened the door

I half opened my eyes and I saw Sunny and Sooyoung standing beside my room door with their shocked faces.

"What." I said still my eyed half opened

Why would they stare at me like that?!?

"Wow, I thought you needed to be comforted but somebody's making you comfortable enough already." Sunny said as she smirked

"What are you talking about?" I asked still feeling sleepy

"Your girlfriends hot." Sooyoung said with her teasing smile

Sunny smacked Sooyoung's head

"B-but Sunny's hotter." she said with a nervous smile

"What girlfriend?" 

I suddenly felt heaviness in my body and breath on my neck. I saw a hand around my waist. HOLLY MOLLY, I almost forgot about Tiffany and I accidentally sleep beside her, now she's hugging me like her she hugged her booze a while ago! I sit up quick.

"It's not what..." I tried to explain but I was cut off

"It's okay Taeyeon, you have to enjoy the remaining months of your life. We do understand. We're going out of the dorm now. Bye!" Sunny said as she dragged Sooyoung by the ears

I was about to stand up and run towards Sunny and Sooyoung but Tiffany hugged me tighter.

"Tiffany..." I tried to wake her up

"..."

"Tiffany...wake up" I lightly slapped her cheeks

She opened her eyes, I realized our face were to closed from each other so I gapped the distance between us and blushed.

"Where am I?" she asked

"At my dorm, you passed out." I said as I stood up

"Pull me up." she said as she raised her hands

I helped her stand up.

"I'm going home now." she said as she fixed herself on the mirror

"B-but are you sober enough? I mean...I can take you home." I said worriedly

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. See you around!" she said as she kissed my cheeks and walked out the door.<
