What If We Ran Away

Description

Running away is not always the best option.

Because there is almost always something that must be returned to and dealt with.

But sometimes people run away because their current world won't let them be who they want to.

In the case of Taeyeon and Baekhyun, their world won't let them truly be together. With the controversies surrounding their relationship and hate coming at them from all directions, it seems like there will never be a day where they can be together in peace.

But when you're in love, no amount of disapproval can tear the two of you apart.

The only thing that changes is the desire to experience being in love without being under the harsh watchful eye of the public.

Taeyeon couldn't help but wish Baekhyun was there. Being so far apart and only getting to see each other every few months was definitely not a good factor for relationships, but she wanted to believe making it through was a sign that their relationship might have a chance to be normal someday. Well, less hectic than it was now. Their relationship would never be normal.

The dreamy part of her mind began to imagine what it would be like to wake up next to him everyday, or to be able to go on dates without having to wear cough masks and hoods. Walks along the bank of the gleaming river hand in hand, days just to stay home and snuggle all day... She knew it was impossible for them, but she couldn't help but wish for silly things like that. She would love to experience those things with Baekhyun, even if it was for a short time.

But the fans that left comments like the ones he had seen online would never let that happen. They would create malicious rumors or not support either of the groups anymore, causing their fellow members to suffer because of them. As much as she hoped for a calm of the storm, Taeyeon wondered if it ever truly would come.

Before she fell asleep, she could hear her own words rewinding in her head. Her own strange suggestion to aid her in some of her far fetched dreams.

'Wouldn't it be nice if we could run away?'

This is my first Baekyeon story. If you have seen this on Tumblr it's because I posted it there first. I've decided to put in on Asianfanfics as well since most of us fanfiction addicts are on here. Please give this story love here in it's new home as well! ^^ I might also add some slight editiing to this version.  Any sort of plagiarizing is not tolerable and will be dealt with.
