I sighed deeply.

God... Why can't You just grant me my wish... please! Just give me a boyfriend already~

“Yah, Lee Jinae! It's the first day of school, and you've got bags under your eyes already,” my best friend Minhee ruffled my hair roughly as she sat beside me in the Chemistry classroom.

“I was finishing Heartstrings last night,” I pouted, then weakly smiled at her. A yawn followed. Tucking my head into my arms on the table, I suddenly regretted sleeping at 3am.

“Aigoo. And you still haven't been hit on?” She frowned. “How's your boyfriend quest going?”

I sat up straight. “Shhh!” I covered . She giggled. “Geez, tell the whole world I'm desperate, why don't you?” I frantically looked around the room. Luckily, everyone was busy talking about their summer vacation.

She clapped her hands together, and gave me her infamous puppy eyes. “Mianhae, Jinae-ah~” I just smiled. I wish I was as popular as my best friend. The looks, the charms and the brains–she has it all. Me? I had to work hard for these brains.

“So how did it go? You texted me yesterday, saying you went to Hankang River...”

I looked down at myself, and glanced at the band-aid on my right knee–a cute, yellow Rilakkuma one. Before I knew it, a smile formed on my lips when I remembered yesterday's events...

“I didn't get hit on,” I sadly replied. “But... I have an idea on how to get hit on. I just have to find the person who will help me.”

And maybe God didn't answer my prayer directly and send a beautiful man to become my boyfriend...

Because a mere minute after, in walked the very person that will help me get a boyfriend.
