*phone rings*

"Mom, could you please get the phone for me?? I'm still in the shower!"

Sooyoung yelled as she finishes her bath. There's no school today but she still woke up early. The sun's out but the air is cold. A perfect day to go out.

Jimin has been out of town for 3 weeks, he took care of his sick grandmother in the province while her aunt and uncle were away.Today's the day of his return to Seoul. Sooyoung planned that they'd go to the park and have brunch when he returns. Jimin suggested that it would be better if they'd just eat at a restaurant but after hearing that Sooyoung would prepare the food and everything (even though he knows that Sooyoung may not be the best cook), he was all for it. 

Sooyoung stepped out of her room and found her mom sitting in the living room with an inscrutable look on her face.

"Mom!" 

"Oh! Sooyoung-ah! You're all done? ahhhh.. sit down with me for a sec"

"okaaaayyy??? Is there something wrong? Did I do something wrong mom??"

Her mom reached out her hands and hold sooyoung's hands tightly. Sooyoung can feel her mom's hand trembling. She knows somethings wrong but the look on her mom's face is still the same. She still can't tell why her mom's acting this way.

"Mom. Is this about Jimin??"

"Yes honey..."

"Oh my god. He was the one who called, am I right? Did he just cancelled our date? Grrr! I'll punch him in the face as soon as I see him. Now what will I do with all these food I prepared?? And-"

"Sooyoung-ah. It''s...It's not like that. It was Jimin's mom who called."

"His mom?? why?" Sooyoung's beginning to understand why her mom's suddenly acting this way. She can feel something's not right. There are so many different thoughts going through her head right now. Sooyoung stood up and got herself a glass of water.

"What about Jimin?"

"Jimin... He's gone"

Sooyoung found it difficult to swallow water. She started pacing back and forth, and laughed at her mother

"What do you mean gone? He'll be back. He's on his way back to Seoul now. He...He just left me a message earlier this morning. He said he'll see me soon!" 

"Sooyoung.. There was an accident between a truck and a bus.. And Jimin... He was on that bus."

Her knees got weak. She couldn't stand anymore. She tumbled to the ground and tears raced down her cheeks. There were no sounds coming out of . She wants to scream but it feels like her voice has been taken away. Her mother sat next to her and hugged her tight, Sooyoung clung tightly to her mother as she bawls her eyes out.
