Golden Deer

Golden Deer

A tired sigh escaped your lips, trudging slowly through the forest with your father by your side. Today, your father decided to take you with him to hunt.

It wasn't that you hated the forest, in fact you loved it. You knew the place like the back of your hand. But today was just so tiring because of school, even more so since your father was relentlessly trying to search for a deer to hunt which was rarely found in the forest nowadays.

Your footsteps slowed down. Not soon after, your father called out to you, telling you to hurry up. "I'm tired! Let me rest for a bit. Come back for me when you feel like going home." You complained, and your father nodded before moving deeper through the forest.

Looking around, you found a small pile of green leaves beside a tree, sitting. You flattened the pile for a place to sit. Once your felt the soft leaves, you sighed contentedly. Leaning against the tree, you observed the whole forest.

And then you saw it.

A sleek golden haired deer. It's round, dark brown eyes connected with yours. It's posture was elegant, and you couldn't help but think it was beautiful. You felt drawned to it.
Slowly, you stood up. It's eyes never leaving yours. You took careful steps towards it and when you finally were in front of it, you couldn't help but be mesmerized. You reached out your hand to it, wanting to touch it.

"I'm back!" You heard your father's voice cut through the forest. Then you realized. Looking back at the deer, you panicked. What were you supposed to do? If your father saw the deer he would kill it in a beat. The thought made you frown.

This deer wasn't worth killing.

"Uh...um." You stumble with your words, unsure what to say. "You've got to get out of here, my father is a hunter and you're in danger." You tried to speak to it. The deer probably sensed the danger through your tone, and it turned away to leave. You felt relieved when the deer finally disappeared from your sight.

"Hey." You felt a hand clap your shoulder. You squeaked, and snapped your head backwards to see your father's confused face.

"What? Did something happen?" He says, worried.

You shake your head, taking notice of the setting sun. "Nothing. We better get home."

Ever since that encounter with the golden deer, you didn't stop thinking about it. You've had gone to the forest several times, in hopes to see the deer again. But everytime you visited and no matter how much you waited, you hadn't caught even a glimpse of the deer.

Which was weird, cause why would an animal ever occupy your thoughts this much? It was unusual, yes. But not unpleasant.

You really wanted to see it again.

And when you finally snapped out of your thoughts, you were already at the forest.

'Just how much do I want to see that deer for me to come unconciously?' You thought, and looked around the spot where you have seen it for the first time.

But instead of a deer, you saw a man. A man who was clothed in white shirt and black pants, a faint white glow around him. He had his back faced towards you, hair a smooth blonde. He turned around, and your eyes widened. His round, dark eyes looked into yours.

A smile graced his lips, and you found it beautiful. Him beautiful.

"Thank you for saving me that day." His voice was sweet and soft. "I'm Luhan. And you are?"

A/N: Yes, hello. ^o^ This is my first story, and I had no idea whether to put it up as a oneshot or a story. As you can see, it's really short. ^^" I'm not really a long type of writer. Well, I hoped you guys had as much fun as I did writing this! Ciao :)
