"Are you sure you want to do this? Your actions could affect the present. Moreover, the time machine is new. Something could go wrong," Hak Yeon warned.

"Yes. It's the only way to make up for what I've done," I replied.

"Okay then. Don't say I didn't warn you," Hak Yeon sighed. He knew there was no point in trying to talk me out of this once I had made up my mind. Jae Hwan went to set up the time machine. Before long, the machine hummed to life and the portal opened.

"Here goes nothing," I said. Taking a deep breath, I went into the portal.
