A. What She Was: Before
The Thirty Days DealEvery child has at least an inkling of his or her parents’ personality.
Yoona had her mother’s strong, stubborn, rash personality. She did things without thinking of their consequences. It didn’t matter what happened in the long run, what she thought of was not the bigger picture but the focus point, which was here and now.
However, she also had her father’s mature personality. Sometimes she’d step back and take a look at what she had done, the changes she had made, the damage she had caused, and what she could do to fix it. Yes, she made mistakes, but she had the will to fix them and patch it back up again.
She often liked to think that she was a very screwed up girl. Strong, yet weak, stubborn, yet had a listening ear, rash, yet sensible, and innocent, yet mature. More than once she had begun to think she had multiple personalities, or maybe she was bipolar, or maybe she was just… crazy.
But by then she would’ve stopped thinking all together because it simply didn’t make sense.
For the most part, she was hardworking at school. The average good student, occasionally not bringing her textbooks to class, almost-perfect attendance, sometimes forgetting to hand in her homework… But her grades had always been ‘A’s.
The only catch was that she had no excitement in her life. She concluded excitement just wasn’t her thing, maybe. Nothing ever happened. Sure, she had crazy amazing best friends, but most of them had boyfriends.
The thing was, she didn’t see the point of relationships in high school. Especially in their last year, since they would probably split up if they went to different colleges. Plus, with so many school commitments how would they be able to keep up with relationships?
Love? Love was just a stupid time-killer.
