Everyone and their mother knows that the general public ships these two together – Chan and Chaeryeong, two dancing prodigies that busted their way into the limelight on a competition show, determination burning in their eyes and passion coursing through their limbs. On stage, they’re on fire, but backstage – well, it’s just Chan and Chaeryeong, two kids who find themselves sitting next to each other in the waiting room with one seat separating them. It’s not that they’re unfamiliar with each other; it’s just that neither of them can bring themselves to look the other in the eye when their worlds have collided so abruptly in the span of one TV season (next week, they’ll have to go up against each other in the finals, but for now, they sit in silence, timid smiles settling on their lips).

Author's Note: WON'T THESE TWO BE THE CUTEST EVER?! Chan is literally my baby, ok. I love how he's the maknae of Seventeen yet is respected as a choreographer and dancer (his Michael Jackson-esque choreo, anyone??). He definitely has that star quality and a very unique charisma - same goes for Chaeryeong. She's always stood out like a shining jewel on stage, haha. She's so bright and she hits her moves so powerfully. But they are so so so young and it would be so cute if theirs was a case of puppy love <3
