Nayeon knows as soon as she steps into the room that something’s up today - she can see it in his eyes, the shiftiness, the overly calculated moves - but she decides not to say anything and just goes along with his flow (i’ve been working on a song recently, he says nonchalantly, reaching for his guitar. oh, i see, nayeon sits down, smiling).

Jisoo knows as soon as she steps into the room that it’s now or never - he’s got the song, he’s got her an arm’s distance away, he’s got his freaking heart palpitating all over the place - so he clears his throat and starts strumming his guitar, stealing glances at her once in awhile and admiring the way her hair falls against her cheek as she shyly looks down at the ground (beautiful, he thinks, almost forgetting his lyrics).

I wanna be your morning, baby, is what he sings, and this is the part when Nayeon has to almost force herself not to start tearing up (okay, is what she says when he stops playing and she can tell he’s holding his breath, and this is the part when he holds her hand and doesn’t let go).
