Dahyun thinks that there’s no way he would ever like her back (award for Most Shades of Red That A Girl Has Blushed goes to yours truly); after all, he’s got all the rest of the girls practically dying to be by his side (but, she thinks to herself, chin jutting upward in mock confidence, she’s the first one he showed his mixtape to, so take that, ers).

Hansol thinks that Dahyun can’t possibly be this clueless (who else would run all the way back to school to retrieve a book she left behind, or who in their right mind would wake up early just to drag her onto the school bus in time - that sleepyhead); but then again, he finds her cute either way, with her bright streaks of color in her hair and all the stars twinkling in her eyes.

So, Hansol tells himself, today is going to be the day, and no amount of Dahyun’s distracted chatter and outside disruptions will stop him this time (one time, he was going to finally say something when the sprinklers went off on the lawn they were sitting on, dang it) - so he carefully fixes his hair, takes a deep breath, and rings her doorbell, greeted by an equally flustered-looking Dahyun (what took you so long, is what she exclaims when he finally confesses, and he lightly punches her on the shoulder: well at least i got you now, he says).
