Intro
Shameful Ego
Chapter 1:
She can no longer sleep.
Some says she lost it.
Some tries to help while others won’t even look at her.
Some pities her.
Not that they know that their opinions no longer matter; their stares are no longer visible.
Because in her world there's only darkness, herself, and her.
Flashback
“Taeyeon ah, look...”
“Hmm?”
She pointed towards the dark sky, at a few stars that were visible from where we were lying on our backs on a blanket spread across the grass.
“You see that?” she whispered.
And then she shifted the tip of her finger to the smallest star among all of the others. – the one that was outshone by other much bigger, much brighter stars. Before I had the chance to ask anything, I heard her question rhetorically, “How can something so small be consist of that big of a charm? How is it that I notice the smallest of all the stars in the sky tonight?” She snapped her head to the left, looking at me, not really expecting an answer. “Weird huh?”
I smiled looking at her. That was the moment when I knew she was something else. She wasn’t your typical teenage girl; the way her mind worked - childish but somehow fascinating – not that I have such a mature mind myself.

Taeyeon was slightly surprised looking at Jessica because Jessica didn't seem like a loser or an outcast but to her notice, people were intimidated by her. Taeyeon was not afraid; she was rather intrigued by the aura, the cold stare and the glares. As for how Taeyeon got Jessica hooked as her friend on the first day of school was with a simple line she watched in a cartoon: Hey,you look cold...Wanna use me as your blanket?
