Chapter 17.

'Congratulation.'

 

Joo Yeon’s P.O.V

 

“I’m proud of you.” Mark nudged my shoulder as we walked.

“Yah I broke a heart, why is everybody proud of me?” I feel so salty.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

“Ei Jung Joo Yeon, it’s okay. You’ve been too nice to him when he’s so bad to you.”

I rolled my eyes and he clicked his tongue as he remembered something.

“I wanted to tell you at the first place but that Jungkook did.” He grunted.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

So what if Jungkook invited me first?

“I don’t see any problem with that.”

“I wanted to tell you first!”

He’s so childish. Aigoo..

“Too late. But hey at least we’re going to the kindergarten together.”

He chuckled, giving up.

“So when?” He suddenly asked.

“When what?” I asked back, looking at him.

“You and Jungkook.”

Well that caught me off guard.

“What about us?”

“When are you guys going to date?” He asked.

I pushed his forehead.

“Rubbish. Never.” I answered with a frown.

He scoffed.

“You guys will.”

I narrowed my eyebrows.

“Nahh.” I shook my head.

His smirk was so annoying.

 

 

I smiled widely as I saw the kids.

Heck I missed them so much.

I giggled when Min hopped into my arms.

“Noona, I missed you.” He said.

“I missed you more, little guy~” I sang.

“You guys came?”

I bowed at Mrs Jeon.

I looked around but there’s no sign of Jungkook.

“Annyeonghaseyo.” I greeted.

“Ah, Mark. Your mother called, she’s next door.” Mrs Jeon informed.

And with that, he walked away.

“Thank you for coming, Joo Yeon-ah.”

“Ah, it’s no big deal.” I grinned at her.

I put Min down and he ran away.

“Ahjumma, where’s Jungkook?” I asked.

“Ah, he’s outside. Looking after the kids at the backyard. Go, he had been waiting for you.”

“Ahh alright. Thank you.” I nodded at her then walked to the backyard.

I stood there when I saw Jungkook lying on the ground with bunch of kids on top of him.

My jaw dropped into a wide grin. This is too cute oh my god. I tried to hold back my squeals from coming out.

I took out my phone, quickly capturing the moment then slipped it back into my pocket.

“Yah~ Fine fine! I lose!” He cried playfully.

I watched amusedly for awhile until the kids ran off.

He was still lying on the ground, panting.

I walked over, squatting down and stared at his face.

“Jungkook Jeon, annyeong.”

He looked up at me.

“Hi.”

“Tired?” I asked, wiping some of his sweats on his forehead.

He nodded.

“For your information, you will be a father in the future, better get used to it now.” I said.

“Our kids better not do this to me.”

Our kids? What?

My eyes widened, my cheeks already flushing.

“Jung Joo Yeon, give birth to lovely and nice kids for me okay?”

There, despite this cold weather, I swear I melted.

Relax Joo Yeon.

“I hope our kids will torture you.”

What the heck.

Why did I say that?

He quickly stood up.

I stared up at him.

“Yah Jung Joo Yeon! Are you agreeing to marry me?” His eyes were wide opened.

I stood up, pushing his forehead with my finger.

“Keep dreaming.” I said and turned around.

Thinking about it,  it’d be great if we end up marrying since he’s such a husband material. But nah.

I smiled while he’s not seeing my face.

I quickly erased it when he walked up to my side.

“I already have a name for our baby.  If it’s a boy, his name will be Jeon Hyung.”

Damn it Jungkook. Why are you doing this to my poor heart?

“Again, keep dreaming.” I said.

He chuckled.

“I’m kidding. Why would I marry you? You’ll just be a pain on my for the rest of my life.”

I frowned. Should’ve expected that.

“Yah! For your information, I won’t marry you either!” I glared.

“Oh yeah? But why do you look disappointed?” He chuckled.

I looked away.

“I’m not.”

“Don’t get your hopes high.” He said.

I rolled my eyes.

“I don’t even have any.” 

 

 

Jungkook’s P.O.V

 

I watched her from afar, laughing with full of food in front of Mark.

I scanned around the cafeteria, no one seemed to be watching her.

I hissed. That messy girl.

Then I saw Kai sitting down next to her.

I dropped my spoon.

He got rejected. Is he still trying?

Relax, Jungkook Jeon. It’s nothing.

My fist loosen when I saw her laughing with him.

Well okay. Good thing that he’s not bothering her.

But I hate this scene.

I rolled my eyes and continued shoving my lunch into my mouth.

 

Kai’s P.O.V

 

I held my tray, scanning the cafeteria.

Ugh, where are Chanyeol and the others?

Aish forget it.

I rolled my eyes then I saw Joo Yeon.

I smiled and went to their table.

I placed the tray and sat next to her.

I felt Mark’s glare on me when I was staring at Joo Yeon.

“Kai?”

“This seat isn’t occupied right?” I asked.

“Well now it is.” Mark replied.

I chuckled, looking at his face.

I started eating but man, I can’t help but feel so uncomfortable with the two of them staring at me.

I sighed, putting my spoon down.

“Are you guys serious?”

They looked away and continued to eat.

“Why are you here?” Mark asked.

“I came here to eat. I thought it was obvious.” I said sarcastically.

“I’m not that stupid. I mean why are you sitting here?”

“Why? Can’t I?” 

He put down his spoon the crossed his arms.

“Now that you came, I have no appetite.”

I rolled my eyes, let him be Kim Jongin. Let him be.

“Yah, just eat.” Joo Yeon snapped.

She looked at me with those same expression.

The word sorry were all over her face.

I sighed.

“When will you ever stop looking at me like that?”

“I..I”

“I know what you’re thinking. I admit I’m upset but it’s okay, I’ll be good to you until the day I leave. So let me be.”

Let me be close to you, let me be good to you.

“The day.. You leave?”

“That’s the least I can do to make myself feel better after all I did to you.” I said, gobbling down a few more.

“You too Mark Tuan, be good to me.” I glared at the guy.

“Kim Jongin, you’re leaving?” She asked.

Yes, yes I am.

My father is sending me to a boarding school.

I don’t have the strength to fight him again and I don’t think I have any reasons to stay here anymore.

“Ah I’m full.” I ignored her question and stood up.

“Let’s eat together again next time.” I said and walked away.

 

Jungkook’s P.O.V

 

“You’re right. He is fine after all.” She chuckled.

We walked side by side, on our way to the café.

“See? I told you.”

“But he said this..”

I turned my head to look at her.

“I’m upset but it’s okay, I’ll be good to you until the day I leave. So let me be.”

He’s leaving?

“What does he mean?” I asked.

She shrugged.

“You.. Don’t you think you should make up with him? Before he leaves?”

I looked away, forcing a smile up.

“You know for yourself.. There’s no way he’ll forgive me.” I muttered.

I hate him. A lot. But there’s never a day that I don’t feel sorry to him.

I felt tingly when she suddenly brought a hand up and my back.

My head turned immediately to look at her.

She then moved her hand and the back of my head.

“It’s okay, I understand how you feel. Aigoo uri Jungkookie, you suffered a lot didn’t you?” She pouted while saying her last sentenced.

Heol. I rolled my eyes playfully, slapping her hand away.

“Don’t do that.”

“Eish, I’m just trying to make you feel better.” She looked away.

I smiled. You did well, Jung Joo Yeon. Gomawo.

“Forget it.” I hissed.

I waved at Kangjun as soon as we stepped in.

“Oi brat, where have you been?” He asked.

I walked up to the counter and saw her getting into the staff room.

“I’ve been around, hyung.” I answered.

He turned around, making my drink without me telling him to.

“She had been talking a lot about you.”

My eyes widened.

“Jung Joo Yeon?” I asked.

“Of course, who else?”

“Jinjja? What did she say?”

He glanced at me with a warm grin.

“Lots of stuffs.”

He faced me, placing my Caramel Macchiato on the counter.

He looked around then back to me.

“She’s so into you.” He whispered.

“Eii hyung, she’s not.”

“Are you kidding me? You’re the only one she talks about. That pretty much explain everything.”
