No One's POV   The whole class stared at the scene. Some girls were even furious and at the same time, jealous. Who wouldn't be? Your crush was showing a side of him that was hidden, to a girl who spent less than half an hour in the class. Yong Hwa, Jung Shin and Jong Hyun, knew that with this thoughtless act, the new girl could become a bully target. Relief overwhelmed them when Min-Hyuk finally let go of her. He didn't seem to care about all the unwanted attention. He was more focused on the fact that his childhood best friend and him, were finally reunited. All the negative feelings he had, vanished the moment he saw her. Even if he had an endless list of questions, he let it go just for the moment - enjoying her company. They caught up about what's happened with their lives, since they last saw each other. Well, Min-Hyuk did all the talking while Shin Hye just nodded or shook her head to his 'yes or no' questions.   BRINGGGGGGGG!!!!   The bell rang indicating that it was the beginning of first break. The class forgot about the scene for the time being. Min-Hyuk dragged Shin Hye towards the boys (Jung Shin and the gang). His smile never left his face.    "Guys, this is Shin Hye." He introduced, knowing that they already knew but didn't care. They nodded their heads in acknowledgement and started introducing themselves, one by one.   "Annyeonghaseyo. I'm Lee Jong Hyun. Nice to meet you." Jong Hyun introduced with a smile. Usually he would feel very anxious when meeting new people but he felt like he could trust her because Min-Hyuk seemed to be very close to her.   "Annyeonghaseyo. I'm the good looking one; Lee Jung Shin. Let's be friends, okay?" Jung Shin was beaming. He loved meeting new people. But he was exceptionally more excited meeting her. She didn't say anything but just nodded with a blank look on her face - which was half-covered by her hair.   Jung Yong Hwa's POV    How could they do it so easily? I was tongue-tied. No words came out. I just kept my gaze on her eyes. Even though she was with people, her eyes were still lifeless. They reminded me of a black hole. Bottomless with no light. No colour just bottomless. Although they were lifeless, they showed tiny signs of loneliness and despair. Those very same eyes captivated me. I don't know if it was in a good way or not. Just looking at them made me realise that they held such painful memories. I was too focused on them, not even noticing the stares I was being given by my friends.   "Yong-ah, you seem to be out of it today." I snapped out of my trance, faced Jong Hyun and waved my hand.   "Ani, I'm fine." I turned towards her again and started with my introduction. "Annyeonghaseyo. I'm Jung Yong Hwa. Nice to meet you."   She didn't even react. The boys and I were surprised when Min-Hyuk started chuckling. We raised one of our brows in a questioning way.   "Guys, she's lived in Australia for almost her entire life. She probably only understood 'hello' and your names." Min-Hyuk explained still slightly chuckling.   "Well, you could've told us that before we started talking. Now she probably thinks we're idiots." Jong Shin kinda-scolded.   "Everyone knows you're an idiot. What difference does it make (?)" I said in a playful way. The others laughed except for Shin Hye and Jung Shin, who pouted playfully. It was normal for 13 year olds to joke around this way. We enjoyed the moments that came our way. Knowing full well that one day, there may not be anymore left.   "Yong, you wound me." We laughed harder at 'Drama Queen Jung Shin'. I stopped to look at Shin Hye, who was still quiet. I didn't know why, but my heart fluttered upon seeing her smile. Although it was very, very faint, it was still a smile.    Park Shin Hye's POV   I couldn't understand Korean. I had no idea what they were saying, but seeing Min-Hyuk so happy with his friends, made me smile. The barrier I had put up, was slowly breaking. There was no scientific explanation for it. This was what humans have to face during their transitions in life. Ever since I came back to Korea, my emotions became untamed. I could no longer control them. I needed that protection. I didn't want anymore suffering. I just wanted to feel at peace. But it was becoming harder and harder. To top it all off, I was reunited with Min-Hyuk. The only friend I've ever had. He was many of my firsts. My first crush. My first kiss - even though it was a light friendly peck. My first friend. The list goes on. Although I still had the tiniest bit of affection for him, I had grown to see him as more of a brother. He was always there for me, through thick and thin. Just having his presence next to me, was enough to comfort me. He didn't even have to say a word. Just like that, I'd feel better. Even if it was only a bit, it helped.   I stood there without uttering a word. Just watching them enjoying each other's company. I felt something unusual. Was it the feeling you get when you feel accepted? I smile faintly. The break went on. Th
