Min Yoongi aka Suga is a 22-year old mentally challenged man, with an IQ of only 68. He was raised by Bang Sihyuk, the owner of Bighit Cafe. The coffee shop that he works in as a barrista, although he doesn't take orders from customers. He makes the best coffee there. He works along 6 other boys  that president Bang has also taken in as kids.

The 7 boys are all orphans or abandoned children, they have no home, no family. But Bang Sihyuk gave them a home, a name and a new life.

The oldest Kim Seokjin was abandoned by his parents as a little boy, he developed epilepsy. His seizures got worse and they no longer have enough money to support their child. They left the 5 year old Jin at Bang Sihyuk's doorstep.

The second kids Bang Sihyuk took in are all problematic children, Kim Namjoon is a juvenile deliquent, since he was 5 he was forced by his gambler father to steal money or jewelry. When he was about 7 years old he was about to victimize Sihyuk, but he was caught. Instead of reporting the kid to the police, he offered Namjoon an escape. Namjoon was given an opportunity to change, but his demons still haunt him today, Specially when his father who blamed him for their poverty was ought to get him. kill him.

Jung Hoseok have two personalities. Hobi was gentle,cheerful and friendly, he never fails to make people smile. The other one? who calls himself J-hope doesn't give people hope at all. He was violent,unforgiving and ruthless. Hoseok has a scar in his past that made him develop Dissociative Identity Disorder.His family can no longer handle his episodes, specially when Jhope was taking over his body, the 13 year old kid always get into fights. Sihyuk who witnessed the scene, offered him a hand, even if Hoseok was in his most violent state. Jhope claims that he only owes Sihyuk because of the job that he gives him since he was taken in.


The youngest kids we're Taehyung,Jimin and Jungkook.


Kim Taehyung isn't a crazy person, he may developed a weird personality while growing up, but the main reason why his family left him for good since he was 6 years old was because of his constant episodes of suddenly doing unusual repetitive movements and unwanted sounds that he couldn't control, he suddenly blinks his eyes, jerk his head and blurt out offensive words. Because of his father's friend Bang Sihyuk he was eventually diagnosed to have "Tourette's Syndrome". Taehyung's father however, left him and moved away to a different country. Cutting off all the contanct he had with the kid.


Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook we're in the same incident as kids. They rode the same bus that claimed the lives of their family.


Park Jimin developed borderline personality disorder, even if he was still young at the age of 14 after the incident,he already had attempted to kill himself. He always cut himself and engage in chronic self-destructive behaviors. 

Jeon Jungkook, the youngest among them, was the most silent. He does not speak, he only nods when he is asked. He developed selective mutism after the accident. both of him and Jimin we're rescued by Bang Sihyuk int he adoption house.

They all grew up together along with Bang Sihyuk's only daughter Bang Jiyeon.


The latest addition to their family was Yoongi, no one knows where he came from or who his family is. He only arrived at their family 2 years ago, but they took him in with open arms.

Jiyeon is now a university student wanting to take psychiatry in order for her to help her brothers, suddenly a friend Song Sarang who is an intern in the hospital informed her about a research being conducted on a lab rat, Algernon;that could greatly help one of his brothers Yoongi. The research conducted by Professor Park Jinyoung could possibly increase intelligence.

Sarang was reluctant for Yoongi to undergo the untested treatment, but he was persistent. He wanted to become smarter so that he could be of more use, he wanted to be smarter so that his mother would get him back.

Yoongi finally undergoes the treatment and now he is more intelligent, he becomes more and more intelligent everyday. Along with his cure comes problems, he begins to be aware of his self and he now begins to understand his past feelings towards his family, the surroundings and to Dr. Song Sarang who helped cure him. 

But now he has inability to establish new relationships due to the treatment's inability to correct his lack of social intelligence. That's the fatal flaw, now he can only watch the man that he was slowly die along algernon. the lab rat that was experimented on.
