Cream-coloured Notes

Description

Jungkook has a weird hobby. Well, it really didn't seem like a simple hobby anymore. It was an obsession.

Foreword

Jungkook made his way into the 'European Classics' aisle. He had gone out of his way-as far as going to another town's public library-to finish the stupid book review. "Aish, why did I even take this subject?" Jungkook muttered under his breath, his eyes scanning the shelves of old, dusty books.

"Aha, gotcha!" he found the red, hardbound book and blew the dust off, Il nome della rosa. He flipped through the brown pages and a folded piece paper fell. Jungkook picked it up, the piece of paper cream-coloured, the smell of lilies attacking his senses. When he unfolded the note, in pretty and neat handwriting, it said:

Hi, there! I know you're probably reading this just because you need to write a book report or something but it's a really great story! It's a bit boring to read but the story is just...ugh, it's amazing! I'm really into mystery and absolutely adore classic literature (if you're not into that, you probably won't appreciate it as much as I did). Anyway, I just want be a good Samaritan on a whim here, so here is a guide to this book. I hope you do well in your class. Best of luck!

J.H.

Jungkook smiled at the note. What a weird person. He stepped out of the dark aisle and went to the counter to borrow the book. As he walked towards the bus stop, he couldn't help bringing the note to his nose, inhaling its sweet scent. Jungkook smiled again, his fingers still fiddling the piece of paper. What a weird person indeed.
