She had asked her sister about this and was well informed on how everything will happen tonight.

It was not a common knowledge to the vampire clans how different they are, the SNSD sisters. They hold the prestige as the largest sisterhood a vampire has, since all nine of them are sisters by blood. It is so rare for a vampire to have a female vampire be born into than converted. All nine of them are born as vampires though they still remain oblivious on whom their mothers are.

SM, their clan lord only informed them minimal knowledge about themselves, only that they have been born into vampirism, with unknown father and mother, and was found and raise by SM himself. Hence, they called him “father”. But Seohyun thinks otherwise, and that is, that their parentage must have been a taboo in the vampire community which made it a necessary secret.

After SM has made sure they can protect themselves on their own, he succumbed to an eternal rest, and he has been left sleeping for about a hundred years now. Thus, it was left with few other strong vampires to secure his sleeping chamber while they manage to claimed their place in the vampire society as one of the daughters of SM. Strong vampires group themselves together to form a high council as to protect their secret world while SM is still asleep. The high council has also made sure that they are well protected since they are SM’s precious daughters.

She had questioned at first the rise to power of this few vampires that claimed themselves as the high council but her older sisters remained calmed in this matter and did not what to participate in such power play as so she had come to realize later on that her sister has done so as to protect their interest.

Unbeknownst to the high council, all nine of them have special traits that not all vampires have and it is the gift all male vampires want their mate to have and that is the trait of reproduction.

Female born-vampire is very rare, the mostly known females on their clan was bitten into rather than borne. As such, they, being female born-vampire hold as a high fascination to everyone, especially male vampires. Bitten-to female vampires has difficulty reproducing only once a thousand years unlike female born-vampire that can reproduce every needing period arrives, an occurrence that commonly happened in every century since their birth. Thus, female born-vampire was revered as precious daughters and was usually mated before their needing period but since all nine of them are hailed precious daughters of the head of the clan himself, the high council has stated that all male vampires who want their hand must present themselves and proved that he is worthy. So from then on, every male vampires has battle themselves to make a claimed on them. The competition was so fierce that others cheat and proceed to stake their claimed thus, a warrior guard has been appointed in each one of them. Every SNSD sister has been assigned a shadow-warrior vampire as their guard thus the appointed ones are none other than from the most well-known vampire shadow clan, Suju.

Seohyun was well aware of her guard, Kyuhyun who was always disappearing in her shadow. He was there, she can feel his presence but she cannot see him, only when she commands him to.

On the prestige that all of her sister and hers have, being female-born vampire and the ability to reproduce, being well-guarded, it seems almost impossible that they had managed to hide the biggest ability they have.

Aside from, that they can talk to each other telepathically, they have not informed the high council of another one small details on their reproduction traits…it is that they do have a needing period for every century but they also have needing period in every twenty years since they are born. Thus, their ability to reproduce is higher than any other female vampires.

They have manage to hide it well because her sisters, the twins, Yuri and Yoona, has discovered that a mixture of the twins blood can suppress the needing enough for them to control their need in every twenty years but they also discovered that the “needing period” that happens in every century, the cennia, cannot be suppress by the mixed blood but can only tame the needing a little.

Thus, since it was her first century needing period, her first cennia she was expecting very different things to happened tonight.

She has made her decision as to whom she would like to spend her first cennia. She did not tell her sisters but as they always said to her, it will be her choice and no one else.

Though her sister has manage to made the night’s-out look like a tour of the city at night to their guards and the newly Sire, in actuality, they need to be out for them to looked for a preferred mate. She can’t fail to notice that each of her sisters has not found their bondmate after all of a century that they’ve existed. 

Thus, she decided that her cennia, her first century of needing period will not be in vain. She has chosen to whom it will be given, bondmate or not, she will make sure that the night will be fruitful and memorable.

As they scattered into the city, each of her sisters go their separate way, she too as well. But she did not have to go far away.

When she saw a restaurant on the next street, she stopped and roams her eyes on the area. It was midnight, though the other establishment on the area was about to close, the restaurant was still opened as there are still half of its patron eating.

The restaurant has orange lights outside forming the name, “Engloutir” (trans. Wolf down). It has small lights as a design on its outside glass window forming a wolf’s head.

She entered the restaurant and was quickly greeted with a foul smell that made her cringe. It was as if the establishment was a chemical store than a restaurant. The chemical smell was mixed with the food’s aroma and something else. She almost decided to go out immediately but she did not want to create more attention to herself as if the whole place patron’s was not already eyeing her every move as she entered.

She twitches her nose a little due to the smell. She decided to refrain herself from inhaling scents though it was uncomfortable, it’s a much better solution.

Seohyun was greeted by an usher. He was very polite though he can’t seem to take his eyes away from her. She was lead to a table at the far end, near a table with a couple who was silently staring at her. She pays no attention to them and sat to her the table.

The usher gave her the menu, “What would you like, Miss?”

“I’ll call you when I have decided. I’m waiting for someone”

“Oh, okay. I’ll come back then”

Seohyun sighed as she continues to check the menu.  She knew that every eye in the place was looking at her, some with admiration, the others with envy.  It can’t be help since aside from her vampire allure that makes her looks as if a living doll. She also has an undeniable charms which is enhance to its extreme especially tonight that will make every male within the vicinity want to devour her. Unfortunately for them, she had decided whom she will allow herself to be subjected to such attraction, tonight at her cennia.

She whispered, “Kyuhyun, why don’t you join me tonight”

She felt a shimmer on her shadow but it was gone by a second. She sighed. She knows that it will be hard for her to lure him out of his guardianship especially tonight. But then, she had chosen him, thus she will not be swayed.

She put down the menu on the table and as if he never left, the usher was on her side again, ready to take her order. She raises an eyebrow a little but disregards the question she want to voice out and said, “I’ll just have a crème brulee”

“Right away, Miss”

When the usher have left she called again her guard, “Kyuhyun” 

There are no answers but instead she heard a whisper, “What are you doing?”

She inclined her head and places her elbow above the table while her chin was on her hand. She whisper as well, “Hhmm...I just think that since we have been allowed a night out after a century of being away. I should spend it with you.”

“You have been allowed outside but not me. I’m merely guarding you” he answered in whisper. If her hearing was not sharp she must not have heard him but then it was one of the advantages of her race.

“So then, let’s just say that I am extending my privileges to you. I want to have a tour of the city with you”

There was no answer this time. Though she heard a sighed, she almost felt like smiling since she knows too well that Kyuhyun’s sighed was an almost signed of surrender to her wishes.

She was about to spoke again when she heard footsteps entering the establishment. Most of the time she would not have been aware of others around her but it was as if she was being pulled to whoever was the one that entered the place. She could hear the footsteps as if matching the natural music created by everything around her. The soft rustling winds, the chatters of the special ornaments hanging just above the door, the clicking of forks and spoon, the mild tone of people whispering and the sudden stillness of the surrounding.

She turned her head a little to get a glimpse of that someone who has made such an impression on the place. A man, probably taller than her a little, if not the same height as her, is wearing a midnight cloak with his hands on its side pocket, under a soft gray slack with a white sneaker shoes. The man was probably in his mid-twenty just by looking at his lean body and his fashionable attire for a man, not to mention the black baseball cap he was also sporting.

Nothing seems to be wrong to the man, but Seohyun’s senses tell her that the man is not just any ordinary patron of the restaurant that had suddenly had the urged to get a midnight snacks, she was sure that he had something on him that made his presence appeal so much to her.

“My Lady, what is it?”

She quickly turned her head back, facing her table again, with her chin still on her elbow. She whispered back her answer to the suddenly anxious voice of Kyuhyun, “It’s nothing…have you decided to join me?”

Instead of an answer, she heard another sighed. This time she did not suppress the forming smile on her face.

“You’ll be joining me, right?”

In a blink of an eye, she saw Kyuhyun appeared then vanished again. In a second, he was already entering the restaurant as well and was now walking towards her. He had brushed should
