6 months later

She pulls her curtain to get some fresh morning breeze after her cup of coffee. She tried to smile before she failed miserably. She sighs and hugs her body, looking around the neighborhood from inside her room.

“I should go out on this weekend and maybe jogs few laps.”

She said as she saw the people jogging in the Park. Her eyes turns as huge as a saucer when she saw Jongin, wearing a gym wear, running into her lawn. She then turns quickly to her calendar and then she realizes; 6 months already past and he is back. Her best friend is back.

She heard the bell rings after and she moves to get the door. Opening the door slightly, she saw his famous grin that she always adores.

“Jongin.”

She called his name in a whisper, looking at him with longing.

“I said I will only take 6 months and now I’m back.”

“You did.”

Jongin moves to hug her but Naeun steps back which makes him laughs awkwardly.

“Sorry.”

She nods, smiling slightly. Naeun then greeted him with a formal hi and bow and that is when Jongin realizes that she is drawing the line. Again. And he understands it really well. He left her last 6 months, the next morning after he treats her like a buddy for more than he can count.

“The last time.”

“Let’s not talk about it.”

Naeun cuts him and let out a sigh.

“Do you want to come in?”

Jongin nods.

“Come in then. I’ll give you some refreshment.”

He walks in and can’t stop looking at Naeun. She looks gorgeous even from her back. What makes him surprised is she was wearing an oversized t-shirt but still she stirs the monster in him. Jongin shrugs the thought but he seems like he can’t focus on anything else. He walks absentmindedly and bumps onto Naeun’s back when he doesn’t realize that she had stop walking. Luckily he managed to catch her before she falls down; holds her close to his body and when her body touches him, Kai closes his eyes, he really missed her
