Childhood friends ( Kazuya Kamenashi )

 

Thefirst moment Inoticedhim, the first moment I saw him. 

I knew there was something really special about him and his appearance. 

The timing and place were perfect.

 

I was sitting on a bench next to cherry blossom tree. 

The colorful day with the sight of all the flowers and buds on the tree. 

The smell of the first cut of grass on a warm spring day. 

The sound of birds singing their songs.

I love spring. Spring is the best time of the year. 

 

I saw a few parent taking their children to school and teenagers holding their hands. I still miss being young and my first love. 

 

I almost forgot that I was supposed to wait for the bus. I ran fast to the bus, I gently bowed to the bus driver and sat on the front set. Most of the set were taken by high school student and workers. I was ready for my first day at university. 

 

I plugged my headphones into my phone and turned the music on. 

I used always be the artistic child in my class, always listening to music and drawing. 

I forgot about the time and the bus went over the bus station, so I had to wait till the next bus stop. 

 

I ran out of the bus in such a hurry that I ran into some guy.

I haven’t ever seen someone like him. 

I couldn’t take my eyes off him. 

His pale fair skin, his straight hair and his pink lips. 

Everything about him caught my eyes. 

All of the sudden I noticed that he was talking to me while I was looking at him. 

He seemed familiar.

 

‟Are you okay? Are you hurt?”, He asked with a low husky voice. 

‟I a-am okay.” I couldn’t even talk, my voice kept shaking. 

‟That’s good. I was worried that you got hurt.”

 

I didn’t answer him because I was afraid I would say something really stupid, so I just got out of the bus and walked. 

I haven’t been to the neighborhood many times, i’ve been here last time I had to take the bus to high school, but my high school years are over now. 

University is my only focus. 

 

As I walked I heard voices coming from the bus stop I was supposed to get off. 

The voices came from some drunk men, my heart started to bump faster as I heard them screaming at me. 

 

‟Hey! Kid, come here!”, One of them said. 

 

I ignored them and walked straight forward. 

One of them stood up and grabbed my left arm. 

 

‟Where are you going? We’re not done with you, yet.” 

 

I couldn’t do anything, my hands were shaking and my mind was somewhere else. 

All of a sudden, a tall firm man jumped from the bus stop and grabbed the man’s arm. 

 

‟What do you think you’re doing right now?”, He said. 

 

‟Ahh, kid. Leave now before you get hurt!”

 

The guy kicked the man’s leg and ran away as he grabbed my wrist. 

I wasn’t sure what I was doing but I felt safe with him. 

 

After we ran away, he stopped and looked at me. 

 

‟Are you alright? Did you get hurt anywhere?”

‟N-no. I am fine.”

‟So you still can’t remember me?”, He started laughing. 

 

I noticed his smile, his precious bright smile. 

 

‟After 7 years, we’ll meet  again and we’ll kiss.”, He quoted with a smile. 

 

Those words? They sound familiar. 

 

‟And when we kiss, you’ll become your girlfriend and make food everyday.” , He stared at me and looked into my eyes. 

 

I remember his gaze, the innocent dark eyes and those eye-smile. 

His smile. 

The way he talked. 

The promises we made seven years ago.

 

It can’t be you….

It’s impossible..

He noticed that my look changed and he noticed that I remembered him. 

 

‟So, you remember me?”, he said, ‟I guess I have to make those promises come true.”

 

I couldn’t speak, my mouth couldn’t spit out words. 

 

‟You still look the same, always pretty”, He cupped my face and ran his hands through my hair. 

 

My face became red like a cherry tomato. 

He laughed when he noticed that I blushed. 

He always bring a smile to my face, I couldn’t help it but smile. 　

 

‟Are you blushing?” 

 

‟What do you mean by blushing, I’m not blushing.” I tried to hide my face.

 

He forced me against a wall, at the same time, his hands slapped the wall and he surrounded me.

Kame-chan used to always be taller than me, as I looked at his face, I found myself unable to look directly into his eyes.

His eyes sparkled, my heart started beating faster and my breath got weaker. 

He cupped my face with his gentle hands, he came closer to me. 

All of a sudden our lips touched.

His lips felt soft and I didn’t want to stop, I wish time stopped right now. 

 

‟There’s only one thing to do now, the second wish. ” He smirked and patted my head.
