#4   Habit 

Fixing habits of the unconscious proved to be no easy task.

Jong Kook had a new habit as of recent, which was none other than his actions towards Ji Hyo. Admittedly, their interactions had been singularly unique since the early episodes of Running Man when they were getting to know each other, but as of recent they had changed significantly enough to rouse suspicions.

One could have chalked it up to his age, however the critical issue lay in the fact that Jong Kook didn’t register the fact, at all.

The difference was so noticeable particularly because he was Kim Jong Kook— the veteran TV personality now past his 19th year in broadcast alone, 10 years of variety experience under his belt, and one who had never once crossed that line between personal and work life.

During a short break amidst Running Man filming Yoo Jae Suk approached a certain singer who stood a bit of a ways off to talk.

“Jong Kook-ah, I feel you’re putting yourself in a somewhat dangerous position these days.”

“Dangerous? Why?”

“Well it doesn’t matter to me since I know you and Ji Hyo are together but…. You’re being way too obvious. At this rate, it will only be a matter of time before the public finds out about you two.

Jong Kook looked thoroughly perplexed at Jae Suk’s words. The thought had not occurred to him before.

“Really? I was just acting how I always acted around her before…”

“Even you must be getting old. I mean you’ve always been so good about controlling yourself in situations like this before, but how is it that you become totally defenseless when it comes to Ji Hyo? I know how you feel, but now isn’t the right time so just be careful.”

“Sorry hyung. It's just when I’m with her I feel like a weight’s been lifted off my chest so I end up doing things I don’t even normally do.”

Jae Suk chuckled. “That’s what’s supposed to happen. Wow, that Song Ji Hyo is really something though, how did she turn the great Kim Jong Kook into this?” He gave a friendly pat on the younger’s shoulder before he entered the filming site again.

Jong Kook mulled over his words as he watched the other’s receding back. “Was I being that obvious?..... I should be more careful from now on.”
