All these years and he’s still the only one she can’t keep her eyes away from. Whenever he is around, her heart starts to beat uncontrollably making her wrists become numb and her cheeks naturally powder itself hot pink. Every time he would look in her direction she would imagine all these things in her head, “does he see me? Does he think I’m pretty? Have I caught his eyes? Why is he so good looking? Where did this handsome creature come from? Will I get to be his one and only? Will we end up together? Will we get married and go back to his home planet one day?” Please notice her too. She only has the eyes for him and no one else. She has fallen way head over heels for him.

Sadly, there was never a chance that she could confess her love to him. There were so many girls after him she just seemed to be another ant in the field of unrequited love. Instead, she became the friend who would always be there to support him when times are rough and be the shoulder he’d lean on during his troubles. That was the closest she could become with him even though it was only virtually. Just friends. He didn’t see her the same way she saw him. As long as he knows she exists than that was better than nothing, she thought.

He made friends easily and he also flirts without even knowing it. She swore she would not fall for someone like that because she is sensitive and loves too deeply. She was afraid that one day if she was to date someone like that she’d be scared he’d get stolen away from her just like that. The competition out there is real. There are a lot of pretty ladies out there and some may like him just as much as she does. He is a very attractive man, no one can deny that. She doesn’t understand either why or how she had let herself fall so hard for this man when she knows her chances of being with him are slim to none. Yet her heart can’t be stopped from longing for him. She has to agree though. His friendless is an annoying aspect of him but is also a great charm of his as well. His open mindedness to anything and everything was very appealing.

During the summer, she heard that he would be staying near where she lived but only for a few short weeks. She wanted to see him badly but because of her schedule, she wasn’t able to give him a visit even though she wanted to every single night. She wanted to just get up, drive there and just scream outside the window to let him know she came all the way here just for him. When she got invited to attend an event he was going to be attending, she was very excited. Only fate could really be the one pulling them apart because she was busy again that night. On the day that he would be going back home, she filled herself with work trying to distract herself from the sadness she would be feeling. At the very last minute, she decided to run there and, from afar, she watched as he waved good bye. She’s missed him every day since.

She suddenly thought of something. For a moment, she asked herself “does he deserve me?” He is a beautiful person, praised by many and loved by most. She, on the other hand, is just a normal person always having his back and adoring him from the sidelines. What gives her the right to dare like someone of such status when really all she is is nothing of such importance? She thinks he does not deserve someone like her, someone of such unknown status. She told herself to start looking in all other directions and maybe she’ll find another sun that would brighten up her world only to find out there is actually just that one sun in any and every universe. She couldn’t escape this love she has for him.

Every time that he would come to the place where he was most recognized for there’d be a glass filled with paper cranes all the way to the top. It was indeed hers. Unfortunately, hers were not the only paper cranes there as there were about another millions paper cranes sent to him as well. He was always very appreciative of them and worried for those who had spent so much time making them. Unfortunately, those paper cranes were not enough to fill the cup of the trophy he had desired for but he didn’t care much for it. All he wanted was to know he was loved.

News broke out that he was dating a friend of a friend. Everyone who also liked him all around the world fell into a sad state. Her heart sank to the bottom of the ocean while she drowns in her own tears. She was very sad he could be exchanging feelings with another person in the way she wished he could be exchanging it with her. The night that she found out, she locked herself in the closet and sat in the dark thinking she’d had lost her chance with him. She learned of the other girl. She was a pretty girl from a wealthy family. Because she was wealthy, she was able to meet him often due to circumstances. She was one of his best supporters and they’ve grown close with one another. Her heart sank even further than she thought it could. However, the friend had told her not to misunderstand. They are just very close and because she’s always helping him and supporting him, he’s very thankful towards her. They are only close friends and more importantly, he is close with a lot of people, enough to misunderstand. That cheered her up significantly. Though she was sad, she found out the friend of her friend was going through an even harder time with the pressure and accusations of the public. She felt so sorry towards her who was receiving so much hatred. Knowing she went through so much pain that night, she would never fall so ever deeply for him ever again because it is only going to get her hopes up.

For a few months, she distanced herself well far from thinking about him for even just a second or two. She failed miserably of course. His names started popping up in her daily diary she writes in again. She couldn’t keep away from thinking about him no matter how hard she tried. His sweet, innocent smile still makes her heart warm with a covering blanket. His foolishness still widens her smile like an idiot watching stupid but funny cartoons. His soft, low voice still melts her hormones. He really is the man she can’t forget.

She hears that he would be visiting near where she lives again. He was a cute doof who fooled around too much. That was the side she fell in love with. She wants to keep that same image of him in her head because the saddest part of seeing him again would be to see that he's changed. A part of her is still curious to see how he is. According to her schedule, she will be busy again the days he will be visiting but maybe they will accidentally bump into each other on the streets. Who knows when fate will bring them together again.
