What You Don't Know
What You Don't KnowWhat You Don't Know...
I
Every time I look at you I would wonder,
Why do you always make me ponder?
On simple questions such as love,
When you’re all there is to have
I would reach out my hand,
I would wait for your warmth,
Maybe one day yours would brush against mine,
With your smile so serene,
That’s all I’ll need
But you have me lost in a maze,
My days are filled with your gaze,
With your eyes so deep,
I pray for you to look back at me
I take a breath and turn around,
Is it worth it to be so bound?
I can only be yours if you want me to,
You can only be mine if you want to be
II
Are these eyes of longing?
I cry out – do you hear me?
You make me ask where is it I need to be,
I want to reach out – would you hold me?
Your hands brush against mine,
With your smile so serene,
That’s all I want,
Can you see me now?
You’re always in such a daze,
And I wonder if you think I’m a waste,
I yell at you,
Only silence stares me back,
What is it that I lack?
You take a breath and turn away,
I reach out my hand,
My shell will crack,
Then will you love me back?
