“I like you, hyung.”

A surprised expression —which consists of his eyes getting much larger than it already was and his lips forming an O instead of a heart — was the only answer Kyungsoo managed to give the younger student standing in front of him — confessing his feelings.

“I understand that you might not like me the same way, maybe you don’t even know me, but I can assure you I’m very much sincere with what I’m saying. I really like you, hyung.”

Kyungsoo doesn’t even know what to say. Being confessed to is an honor, especially if it came from someone like Kim Jongin who was the popular guy in school ever since his freshman year for being an astounding dancer.

But the problem is — he can’t say yes.

“Uhm, I’m really really honored to know that you like me, Jongin. But…” The younger’s face almost lit up when Kyungsoo finally speaks. Almost.

“Oh. There will always be a ‘but’. I almost forgot about that.”

Nonetheless, Kyungsoo continued as he tried to ignore Jongin’s dejected expression, “I’m already dating someone right now and I don’t think accepting your feelings is the right thing to do.”

Kyungsoo leaves the rejected Jongin alone that day.
