Day 1
HybridRight foot…. Left foot…. Right Foot…. Left foot…
How did I get here? Where is here?
The ground beneath my feet slowly crumbles, leaving a void of emptiness. As my shrill screech resonates through the air my body jerks up.
Wait… Now I’m in my room. Must have been a dream, well a weird one at that. I guess it must be time to get up since my alarm clock is blaring Everybody by Shinee. I should rethink having that as my alarm since I end up hating all my alarm tones eventually. What can I say? Mornings have never really been my thing.
My name? Heo Nami. I’m half Korean and half Croatian and am 17. Last week I moved from Seattle, Washington, USA to Seoul, South Korea. You would think its a big change, but my dad taught me Korean growing up and Seattle is very diverse so the change wasn’t too bad. Thats not to say that I miss Seattle…. or the fact that my hometown was 20 minutes away from Jay Park’s (Edmonds if you didn’t know). But hey, now I’m in the same country as him! And Beenzino!
I guess this is a good time to start anew and meet new people. I should probably also try to get the Korean drama standards out of my head….
Once I put on my leggings, military jacket, combat boots, and did my hair and makeup I was ready to go. Heres to a new life?
First things first…. find the school. Since I’m studying abroad I’m living in an apartment alone, so I don’t have my dad
