Movies state that zombies are flesh eating creatures that devour their victims because of their hunger for us living folk. It also states that said zombification usually is a consequence of either biochemical warfare or the manufactured evolution of a disease. Strangely enough for once in the history of our society, Hollywood was right.

No one knows who started the outbreak, but some pretty educated guesses can be made. The fact that North Korea, China, and Russia all went dark days before the world went to just screams involved. Those of us neighboring countries received reports of widespread civilian confinement in all three countries in the lead up to D-Day. People started showing up without teeth.  

No one understood what was going on until it was too late. It was all very movie-like: rioting in the streets, reports of random acts of violence, and strange animal deaths.

And then people started ing eating each other.

We think it started in India, that’s where all the reports started, and as far as we know India is a black hole. No communication in or out. Radio, satellites, Wi-Fi, anything that could be used to reach out to the world is silent. If there is someone left there, they aren’t picking up the phone.

Just like that 1.27 billion people, a sixth of the world’s population, was taken out. There were theories that India was the testing ground. It was ideal; a large sample of people and it was an international port. What more could a bio weapon want?

From there the spread was relatively quick and it wasn’t long till it reached us. Everyone always said that if war were to break out with North Korea that we’d be the first to go. They did always say they were going to rain fire down on us and all that. The North really loves their dramatics, but everyone knew that already. They just had to take it one step further and go the whole zombie route, of course. Rude.

The movies tell us that standard operating procedure during a zombie apocalypse is to grab your family and get the out of town. I would like to amend that. I find that you probably have the best chance of survival by:

1. Grab your family. They’re good for morale and I imagine having a family member die on you is pretty ing terrible.
2. Take said family members and run to the nearest heavily armed and barricaded military installment. Preferably the one where your two oldest brothers work at.
3. Settle in. You’ll be there for a while seeing how you’ve got literal ing zombies knocking on your front door.

This will be loosely based off of the movie World War Z, the most realistic zombie apocalypse movie I have seen to date!

There will be strong language and violent/gory situations because zombies. Chapters will be rated based on content. Please do not read if you are uncomfortable with this.
