ZOMPOCALYPSE!!
zombies. zombies. zombies. the definition of which, varies from a corpse said to be revived by witchcraft, especially in certain african and carribbean regions, to a person or reanimated corpse that has been turned into a creature capable of movement but not of rational thought, which feeds on human flesh, to a cocktail consisting of several kinds of rum, liqueur and fruit juice. putting all definitions aside, zombies are better known as fictional undead characters, typically depicted as mindless, reanimated corpses with a hunger for human flesh. since it's first appearance in the movie night of the living dead, such beings had become popular among the general public. zombie apocalypses had become quite a popular plotline for games, movies and books alike, never failing to entertain the general public and sweep them off their feet, and no matter how many times the recurring plotline appeared in movies, books, games and tv shows, it would always get adolescents and adults alike, preparing for zombie apocalypses and making lists of who they would sacrifice just incase one would actually happen, though, the chances were which were pretty low. or at least, that's what we thought. now in our hometown, hakodate, located in the shima subprefecture, hokkaido, japan, the citizens there, were more or less, into the traditional folk tales and urban legends rather than the whole american zombie nonsense, so when this strange old man seemingly appeared out of nowhere and warned hakodate and all of it's citizens of a zombie apocalypse and how their lives would all be in danger, they merely laughed and ridiculed the old man, some even audaciously sharing their own tales of how they saw the youkai that haunted the old shrine with him. then, the day after some sequel for another zombie apocalypse movie had been released into cinemas, nearly all of central hakodate had become overrun with blood-thirsty zombies. at first, everyone had thought nothing of it as they merely assumed those zombies to be teen cosplayers, commenting on how they were better than the previous bunch of cosplayers and light heartedly joked that they should go take a shower because they smelled atrocious, until the supposed teen cosplayers started attacking random citizens. the citizens of hakodate then either fell into hysterics and ran for their lives while a selected few, namely a bunch of dumb adolescents, who were no more than strangers to one another, gathered and started exterminating zombies in the name of justice.
