Foreword
(A/N: Hello! If you've read my first story, "I am Merely a Fan", I just wanna say thank you for reading it and I hope you stick to this story too... :D)
"Sir, we have arrived." Ren, my driver doubling as assistant in Korea, said as he tapped my shoulder. I opened my eyes and adjusted them to the light coming from the restaurant's bright lights which managed to seep through the opened car door. I muttered a thank you to Ren as he assisted me in going out. I barely slept on the plane, I still can't believe that I'm coming back to Korea which is why I'm really tired right now and in need of sleep, or just probably the jet lag.
Ren ushered me until we reached the private room of the Italian restaurant my parents reserved for dinner. He then bowed to me and opened the door, signalling me to enter.
"There is our new Korean idol!" My dad said, full of enthusiasm. Okay, that really surprised me. You see, I only saw my parents twice in the last two weeks and most of our interactions consist of stuff related to the company, so hearing him talk about me stopping my studies to pursue music is really new to me.
"Baby, aren't you even gonna give your lovely mom a hug?" Mom said, pulling me back from my thoughts. I smiled and went to where my parents are seated, and hugged them both. I then said my greetings to Haneul, Gi, and Uncle Mon who all gave me their warm welcome.
"Now, I'm sure you have a lot of questions, so let's not waste time and talk about the terms and conditions." Mom said when everyone was seated. As a normal reaction, my body stiffened after hearing her. Who wouldn't? Terms and conditions? Is this some kind of business contract? I looked at my mom, then my dad. Both turned serious and I don't think I am able to hide my uneasiness right now.
"What? You think we'll let you run from your studies and other responsibilities that easily?" Dad added with his deep, serious voice as my insides started to go wild and I'd have to say, I never felt scared of my parents like this before.
