déjà vecu
Description
“I don’t know how you are so familiar to me — or why it feels less like I am getting to know you and more as though I am remembering who you are. How every smile, every whisper brings me closer to the impossible conclusion that I have known you before, I have loved you before — in another time, a different place — some other existence.”

Author's Note: Déjà vecu is different from déjà vu in that it is more intense and recurring than déjà vu; people can't tell that a situation is new, they think they have already experienced it before. Another source claims that déjà vu is like seeing something you think is familiar while déjà vecu is more like experiencing something you feel is familiar. I'm not an expert by any means but from what I gather, déjà vecu seems to fit my purpose better. Plus it's a little less mainstream than déjà vu :)
