Unlike most of the fanfics in this recommendation list, I had only recently read Fighting Perfection. And boy, it's probably my favorite fanfic as of the moment. I think that the majority of you would also enjoy this story the same way that I did.

To be frank, this review would be quite biased as for this story really struck me to my core as a human being.

I truly related to the main character in this fanfic. The way that she created an image for herself, the way that she thinks highly of herself due to her accomplishments in academics, and her low self-esteem from her appearance -- all these, are very specific, and all these are very much me.  This fanfic spoke to me in a personal level that no other fanfic had ever did. It's painful to think that this is how I am, but thank God, like the OC in the latter parts of this fanfic, I've came out of my shell and understood the world around me on a different perspective. It feels like this story was the story of my life, except for the romantic part, I mean, for the most part, my romantic life had been as blank as a white paper due to my academically-inclined self.
