"Well … you don’t have to worry about me," she insisted. "I'm actually looking forward to meeting the woman that will someday hold our heart and I will not be at all uncomfortable with your displays of affection. This might sound odd, but it will give me something to look forward to."

"It makes perfect sense and it is not at all odd. That might just be because I can remember feeling that way. Just trust me," Her older version said, laying a hand on her shoulder, "you're going to be uncomfortable, I remember that too." Her older version glanced quickly intervening at the tall skinny girl beside her and then away but she saw the action.

Her brow furrowed in confusion. Suddenly, it hit her harder. A sort of horrified realization filled her.

"Oh no!" she looked into her older version’s eyes, shining horror plainly in her own. "Please, please, please tell me it's not ... oh God!"

How she wished this is another crazy dream.
