Soojung went silent. This is unexpected.
She heaved a sigh and composed herself together. “I am totally okay!” she exclaimed in a joyous tone. “Don’t worry about me, Sehun. I can handle myself together.” she smiled widely. But realizing what she had said, she bit her lower lip.
She sounded like she wants him to get out of her life.
“Hey. Don’t get me wrong. I just don’t want you to worry over me that much.”
Soojung folded up the sleeves of her baby blue ¾ shirt and looked at her features in front of the body-length mirror. She exhaled deeply to relieve her stress.
“Soojung!” a man called out which caused her to divert her attention towards the caller.
“Jongin shii told me that you would have a special occasion later. He also told me that you should get ready because you will leave the ranch at seven.” The butler stated.
Soojung curiously angled her head towards the side, facing the white roses she loved. “Jongin told you that?”
The butler nodded, and said, “He said that I shouldn’t tell you what kind of occasion it is—just wear simple clothes since it would be breezy tonight. That’s all, thank you.”
“Why such in a rush?” she asked herself. She picked up her light brown clutch and wore the bracelet Sehun gave her as a birthday gift. La sécurité et la menace, it said.

The couple is currently having a night walk on Han River, side by side. Jongin stopped for a moment and gulped. He reached for her hands and sealed it with his which causes her to recoil immediately. Much to his dismay, Soojung didn’t give any reactions.
“Look,” he parted her hands and dragged it towards the both of his cheeks. What is he doing?!

His eyes were piercing and captivating. Hers were soft and fragile. Two people, married, different personalities. One is a deceptive person, the other is loyal. How can they fit to each other’s gusto?
